I am licensed in CA, AZ and MN and can provide IN-PERSON in Minneapolis or Telehealth in all 3 of the aforementioned States. Who doesn't want freedom in all aspects of life? I believe that true freedom comes from transformation of self from the inside out. We are not on this planet to struggle, rather to find the courage to let our light shine. If you are feeling stuck in your relationships, career, family, or any other aspect of life perhaps it is time for a change. Life is short.

With military service experience, I understand the unique challenges faced by Veterans and others affected by trauma.
I help individuals or families facing challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, or stress that are seeking healing and personal growth. They may be struggling with past wounds or current life difficulties and need a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore their emotions, gain clarity, and work through their pain. They desire to feel heard, understood, and supported by a therapist who is both experienced and empathetic. Their goal is to regain control over their lives, build resilience, and develop coping strategies that help them navigate life’s complexities with confidence, peace, and a renewed sense of well-being.

I also work with the following concerns: academic/school issues, acculturation, attachment styles, BIPOC, cultural identity, communication, discrimination, gender identity/expression, harm reduction, identity/purpose, immigration, men's health, military/veteran, polyamory, pornography, racial identity, racialized trauma, refugee, sexual orientation, and shame.
Sometimes life piles up - stress, pressure, expectations, uncertainty - and you’re left feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or just not quite yourself. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, exploring your identity, feeling burned out, or feeling stuck, navigating relationships, you don’t have to carry it all alone. I offer a non-judgmental space where things can slow down and start to make sense. Where you can speak freely, untangle what’s underneath the surface, and leave with new insights, language for your experience, and practical tools to feel more grounded, safe, connected, and in control again.

The pursuit of perfection, though elusive, consumes our energy as we strive to meet undefined standards. Fueled by the fear of not being enough, we carry the heavy shield of perfectionism, hoping it shields us from judgment. However, true courage lies in dropping this shield, acknowledging imperfections, and embracing the journey from "What will people think?" to "I am enough." To live authentically, we must practice courage, compassion, and understanding, taking the brave step of owning our stories and living our truth. It's a journey toward worthiness, where letting go of perfection becomes the bravest act of all.

Life often feels heavy when you’re doing everything you can to hold it together. Anxiety, shame, disconnection, or burnout can build slowly until they demand attention. I work with men who are ready to face what’s beneath the surface—to find clarity, purpose, and genuine connection in their lives and relationships.

Foundational in my work is the exploration of the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. As you develop an increased understanding of these connections in your inner world, we also begin to identify and practice strategies to support change and growth in your day-to-day life. I place a strong emphasis on collaboration. From my first session with you, we will focus on exploring your hopes and goals and begin to create a plan to support the changes you envision for yourself. My therapeutic approach is grounded in CBT and incorporates aspects of Psychodynamic and Person-Centered Theories.

As a Navy veteran, I love supporting other veterans on their journey.
Hi, I’m Shiloh. I’m a native Texan, Navy veteran, and explorer at heart who feels deeply called to the work of healing and growth. I work with adults who feel disconnected from themselves, unsure of their voice, or stuck in patterns that leave them feeling small or powerless. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but carry the quiet weight of trauma, anxiety, or self-doubt internally. If you struggle with people-pleasing, weak boundaries, or a constant sense of second-guessing yourself, you are not alone.

Veterans Therapists
Why is mental health important for veterans and the military?
Veterans are more likely to face mental health challenges than the general public, and such mental health challenges can make it difficult for them to navigate day-to-day life. Improved mental health can result in better interpersonal relationships, lower levels of stress, and decreased dependence on substances, such as drugs or alcohol, for many veterans. Addressing common mental health conditions can also help facilitate recovery from physical health challenges that are faced by many veterans, such as chronic pain, physical injury, or poor sleeping patterns. Therapists trained in working with veterans can help address these concerns and help improve veteran mental health.

How can veterans get access to mental health support?
There are many resources for veterans to get mental health support, including through the VA or through their primary care doctor. Many service personnel are eligible for free or reduced-cost mental health counseling through the VA, depending on their service history and current income. Veterans can also utilize online directories, such as Psychology Today, or nonprofit organization resources like the Wounded Warrior Project, to find a therapist or other healthcare professional that specializes in their specific mental health needs. Veterans may also benefit from community-based groups that facilitate social connection and/or address specific concerns, such as Alcoholics Anonymous.

What type of therapy is best for veterans?
Veterans may benefit from multiple types of therapy, depending on what mental health challenges they are facing. Veterans seeking therapy for anxiety or depression may benefit from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which encourage clients to understand how their thought patterns influence their behavior. Veterans with PTSD may seek other more specialized forms of therapy to treat trauma symptoms, such as EMDR or exposure therapy. Many veterans and military personnel may also benefit from family or couples counseling to address the stress and adjustment challenges that can be associated with military life.

Can therapy for veterans help with trauma and PTSD?
Therapy can be highly effective in helping veterans with trauma and PTSD. Therapists specializing in veteran mental health often have extensive training and experience helping veterans navigate symptoms of trauma and can teach clients coping techniques to handle common symptoms associated with trauma and PTSD. Some therapists may use talk therapy as their primary approach, while others utilize more structured therapy modalities in sessions, such as EMDR. Veterans can try multiple therapy modalities to find the best fit for them. Therapists can also help make referrals or connect clients with available resources, such as VA benefits, to help address other life concerns.
