UCare Therapists in Minneapolis, MN
I primarily work with queer and trans adults, and the parents of queer and trans children (who may be queer and/or trans themselves). As the oppression of queer and trans people ramps up, it is important to me to create a caring, healing space for members of our community seeking support. I have an additional focus on work with chronically ill people and people who maintain caution around COVID. I take a health at any size approach. I work primarily with adults over the age of 21.

I am here to support a wide variety of clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, and many other symptoms that tend to be related to unmanaged ADHD. Creating an inclusive space for all identities, I find joy in supporting those who may be questioning or ready to explore their relationship with body image, sexuality or gender identity. As a therapist, I am here to help you achieve your individualized goals, in addition to feeling confident and capable in your own body. Operating from a HAES (Health at Every Size) lens in my practice is a priority so that client's can feel safe to explore these areas without judgement.

I am in network for Aetna, BlueCross and BlueShield, Cigna and Evernorth, First Health, HealthPartners of MN, Hennepin Health, Medical Assistance, PerfeerdOne, and UCare
Most of the people I see have already worked hard to feel better; they've read, journaled, white-knuckled their way through. They arrive tired, a little skeptical, and quietly hoping this time might be different.
I work with young adults, adults, and couples carrying anxiety, depression, or old trauma wounds that keep showing up in new ways. As well as visuals, most of the people I see have already. Together we trade grand plans for "tiny promises," small shifts that build real trust with yourself. I bring a PhD in Learning Science, trauma-informed training, and the belief that I'm here to be "Team You," not the expert in charge.

Now accepting new clients. Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. I work with women and professionals of color who often spend so much time showing up for everyone else that they lose touch with themselves in the process. Many are high-achieving and deeply caring, yet struggle with perfectionism, high-functioning anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, self-doubt, and boundaries. Clients often come to therapy feeling emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in survival mode while navigating unresolved trauma, relationship stress, demanding environments, and major life transitions.

With a deep appreciation for the complexity of the human experience, I bring both professional training and a lifetime of insight to my work as a psychologist. Over the years, I have walked alongside people through moments of uncertainty, growth, loss, and transformation—experiences that have shaped not only my understanding of others, but also my empathy and presence. I strive to create a space that feels genuine, respectful and grounded, where you can show up as you are and feel truly heard. My approach is guided by curiosity, compassion, and the belief that meaningful change is possible at any stage of life.

My ideal client—my people—are ready for real change. They’re thoughtful, self-aware, and tired of managing symptoms instead of transforming patterns. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma responses, or feeling stuck in fear-based thinking, even after previous therapy. They’re open-minded, value authenticity, and willing to explore how thoughts, emotional states, and energy shape their lived experience. They want a therapeutic relationship that feels human and real—and they’re ready to learn tools that actually work.

The relationships we form early in life impact how we communicate with ourselves and with others today. Ways we have learned to cope with challenges in the past may no longer be effective in serving our current needs.
Viewing the self as comprised of mind, body, and soul, I aim to understand who you have been and who you want to be. Exploring what is personally important and meaningful is a unique process for every person. I believe that there are multiple ways of viewing a problem and that you are the expert on yourself.

Freud might raise an eyebrow, but he'd probably approve. My work is about helping you bridge the gap between where you are and where you really want to be. Whether you're navigating individual challenges or working through relational patterns, I take a collaborative, curious approach: looking at where you’ve been, why certain patterns persist, and how we can move forward with clarity and purpose. Together, we’ll explore what gives your life meaning and what’s getting in the way of lasting change.

I believe that healing is a highly unique journey that takes courage, curiosity, and acceptance, but frankly, it looks just a little bit different for everyone. Over the years, I have developed a strong interest in working with individuals navigating life transitions whether that is college, graduate school, becoming a parent, significant relationship changes, grief and loss, or career related shifts. Oftentimes we can feel overwhelmed, disengaged, anxious, and uncertain about what is yet to come amidst all this change. You are ready for something different, you are ready to live a more fulfilling and connected life.

You might seem fine on the outside, keeping busy and holding it together, but inside you feel anxious in relationships, stuck in old family patterns, or constantly playing roles you did not choose. Life changes, loss, or grief may have left you wondering who you are now. You want to understand why these patterns repeat, feel more grounded, and create relationships and a life that actually fit. If you are ready to explore this and show up differently, this is the place to do it.
