I help women use the wisdom of their own bodies to heal from traumas large and small. I believe unrecognized trauma is the core and cause of much suffering women experience in daily life. I also believe, no matter your past experiences or your story, that you have the innate ability to feel whole again.

Therapy can be a turning point—a space where you step into the unknown and begin to see yourself more clearly. Miles approaches this work as a Hero’s Journey: helping you uncover the deeper forces shaping your life, face what’s been avoided, and reconnect with your own strength and direction. Together, you’ll explore both conscious and unconscious patterns, build inner resilience, and begin moving beyond old habits into a more authentic and engaged way of living. Miles has many years of training in psychedelic journeying and Tibetan Buddhist practice.

What once kept you safe may now be keeping you small. Old habits of mind can feel like well-worn paths we can’t help but follow, even when we long for something different. I work with adults seeking relief from anxiety, depression, and trauma, often during life transitions that call their sense of self into question and invite deeper self-understanding. Many of my clients have tried other approaches and want something that goes further. My work is relational and depth-oriented, and includes ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) within a clinic with access to progressive psychiatry when helpful.

I integrate theoretical views that include Adlerian, Jungian, relational, Person-Centered, and Transpersonal orientations so clients may create a clear image of what they are experiencing.
Distress provides us an opportunity to examine the purposefulness of our cognitive, emotional, and relational patterns in a meaningful way. If we better understand what shaped us, where we are in the present, and what we want to integrate in the future, we can take fruitful action to instill change in our lives. Different approaches to our distress are at times necessary in order to reconcile new stages of development and new parts of our selves.

You are smart, capable, introspective—and feeling stuck or struggling in some important area of your life. Perhaps you are a high performer in certain contexts, but seem to shut down or get counter-productive in others. Perhaps there is a painful or traumatic past experience that you need to process (even if it seems like you should have "gotten over it" by now). Maybe you are the person everyone leans on, but you're lacking adequate support for yourself.

I offer therapy for a variety of mental health issues and have an extensive background in depth psychology and Jungian therapy. I enjoy working with individuals who are interested in deeply understanding themselves. In contrast to mainstream approaches to therapy, which focus on teaching skills or challenging a person's thinking, I emphasize working to understand the emotional-relational-spiritual roots of my client's psychology. It is at this deeper level that lasting change can occur.

Therapy That Includes the Body — You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or at a meaningful turning point in your life. Perhaps you’ve done insight-oriented therapy or personal growth work, yet something still feels stuck in your body or nervous system. You might feel disconnected from your intuition, creativity, or sense of purpose. My clients are often seeking more than symptom management — they want embodied healing, regulation, and lasting change. They are ready to explore their inner experience with curiosity and care, and to reconnect with a deeper sense of vitality, authenticity, and direction.

Transpersonal Therapists
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
