Whether you are navigating a sports injury, a high-pressure career transition, or travel-related fatigue, I provide practical, evidence-based solutions that restore your edge.
Sleep isn't a luxury - It’s the foundation of everything else you do. When you aren't sleeping, every other challenge in your life feels twice as heavy. As one of a small number of psychologists board-certified in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (DBSM), I provide a specialized level of care for sleep and performance concerns. I work primarily with individuals who feel like they’ve tried many traditional approaches for their sleep and are looking for something more targeted. My focus is on using evidence-based, short-term protocols (such as CBT-I) to help you reset your body’s natural ability to rest.

I work with adults, athletes, couples, and families navigating adoption, relationships, life transitions, and the mental side of competitive sports.
You're here because something in your life is asking for more attention than you can give it on your own. Maybe it's a relationship that keeps hitting the same wall. A transition that's left you feeling untethered. An identity question you can't quite shake. Or the pressure of performing at a high level while quietly wondering if you're okay underneath it all. I help people understand themselves more fully — so they can show up with more clarity, more confidence, and more connection in every part of their lives.

I work with children, teens, young adults, and adults who are dealing with stress, anxiety, burnout, relationship issues, or life transitions. That could mean starting or ending a relationship, switching careers, navigating school or college, or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I also support people who are questioning their identity or trying to rebuild self-confidence. I also have a strong background working with athletes. I help student athletes, competitive athletes, and former athletes manage the pressure to perform, find balance, and figure out who they are outside of their sport.

Hello! At some point or another, we all benefit from talking to another person to work through problems, explore who we are, or just get thoughts or feelings outside of our head. I'd love to be that external person for you! With an emphasis on human connection, our sessions may look different week to week. Some weeks there might be a focus on problem solving, others an exploration of patterns, and some may just be talking about things (we call this externalizing!). From young kids to older adults, we face transitions in every stage of life. I'm here to listen without judgement and help you navigate anything life throws your way!

How does sports psychology work?
Sports psychology helps athletes identify and overcome challenges, such as perfectionism or a fear of failure, and improve key mental skills, such as confidence or concentration. By applying principles and techniques from psychology, such as goal-setting, visualization, positive self-talk, and emotion regulation, sports psychologists help athletes improve their performance on the field and their well-being overall.

How long does treatment for a sports-related problem take?
The duration of sports psychology treatment depends on the athlete’s individual challenges, goals, the complexity of the interventions used, and even on the length of the season. A performance anxiety issue may be treated with a short-term treatment, like Cognitive behavioural therapy, while issues such as depression, substance abuse, or severe anxiety may require longer-term treatments.

How effective is treatment for sports performance problems?
Sports psychology has been shown to improve performance and help athletes manage their emotions. Sports psychology can be effective in boosting performance, team dynamics, and injury rehabilitation. Over the past decade, nearly every professional sports team in every major sport has added a sports psychologist to its staff. Many colleges have done the same, and even some high school programs have done the same. Olympic hopefuls may consult with sports psychologists starting in elementary school.

What are the limitations of sports psychology?
Sports psychology may have several limitations. Every athlete is unique and may respond differently to sports psychology treatments. Therapy can help an athlete reach their potential; it can help athletes cope with injury and pain, but it cannot change the physical limitations that may be affecting an athlete’s performance.
