My practice is a virtual practice that allows clients greater access to therapy through more flexible scheduling and eliminating time in transportation. My approach to therapy is founded in the value of the therapeutic relationship. It is important that my clients feel heard and validated with a sense of security as they explore experiences of both suffering and success. I believe that each individual I have the honor to work with is an expert in their lives and my role is to help facilitate a joint process of exploring solutions, skills, and building existing strengths necessary to live more peacefully and authentically.

I specialize in forensic (legal) evaluations. I most often work with individuals involved in some aspect of the legal system. Though my specialty is the assessment of men and women accused or convicted of sexual offenses, I also have broad-based experience in competency and diminished capacity evaluations, assessment of mentally ill and dangerous persons, and violence risk assessment. I also do trial consultation for the military. Most of my referrals come from the courts and attorneys, though I encourage potential clients to contact me to discuss my services.

Many people are finding life more difficult these days. There is often so much to deal with in our personal lives, add the impact of world events and it can all just be too much. Having someone to listen and support you can make a big difference in coping with your struggles and not feeling alone. I’ve never met anyone that doesn’t like being listened to and understood. My focus in therapy is to help you get relief from your pain and explore ways to cope with life’s ongoing challenges.

I work from a non-judgmental, non-shaming, non-pathologizing perspective. My role is to help clients understand, heal and/or transcend underlying and often unconscious patterns that manifest as addiction, anxiety, depression and so many other complex ways our lives get stuck, stagnate and lose vitality. I am certified in NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), which is a globally recognized modality for resolving Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD). Through our work together, clients report feeling more ease, freedom and energy to pursue a life that allows stuck energy to move toward growth, wholeness and fulfillment.
