Offering Telehealth: early-morning and daytime hours available.
From an outsider’s perspective, you’ve got a great life. You’re accomplished & admired, dependable & driven. But on the inside, you never feel quite good enough and the voice in your head is quick to remind you of all the ways you’re falling short. You've spent the last however-many-years trying to keep it together, but it's exhausting and you don't think you can do it for much longer. You’re tired of giving so much to everyone else while you continue to come last on your list. But not anymore. It's time for a change.

Welcome! If you’re feeling nervous as you’re thinking about starting this therapy journey, please know that this is a typical and expected experience. I am excited to meet you and work at a pace comfortable for you. I work with young adults and adults experiencing a variety of concerns. I am especially passionate about topics surrounding relational distress, whether it be romantic relationships, friendships, family challenges, or attachment concerns. I also enjoy working with maladaptive coping mechanisms (ie: substance use, risky behaviors, procrastination) to explore the root cause of distress and develop healthier alternatives.

I am available for in-person and telehealth sessions during business hours, as well as for evening and weekend telehealth appointments.
Still stuck despite trying everything? The anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma—they keep showing up. You're not broken; you just haven't found an approach that fits. I work with individuals and couples tired of spinning their wheels. Together, we explore 'tiny promises'—small steps that build confidence rather than grand plans that fail. We'll redefine success on your terms. I'm still learning and becoming as a therapist, but I draw from trauma-informed, person-centered approaches and my PhD in Learning Science. I see us as 'Team You'—you're the expert on your life, I bring tools to support your journey.

Are you feeling stressed and fear you will "burn out?" Are you grieving the death of a loved one or loss of something important to you (e.g., job or relationship)? Have you experienced trauma, such as a car accident, sexual assault, natural disaster, or other highly stressful event? Are you going through a life transition (e.g., leaving home for the first time, health change, retirement)? Are you struggling to find where you best fit in the world of work? If any of these fit for you, I'd love to assist you in your journey back to vitality. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment for clients to share their stories.

Hello and welcome! My approach sees life as a rich and complex story, one uniquely yours. Like any story, the middle is often full of twists. While it’s natural to want to avoid the hard parts, that avoidance can leave us stuck in the “but” of life. “I want to try again, but I’ve been hurt before.” “I know what matters to me, but I’m afraid I’ll fail.” Therapy is a space to move from “but” to “and.” “I’ve been hurt before, and I still value connection.” “I’m afraid, and I can take small steps forward.”

I offer individual , couple and group therapy online .
A deep connection between therapist and client is key to forming the trust necessary to overcome challenges in one's life. These blocks keep us from realizing our potential and can manifest in a variety of ways, from depression and anxiety, to relationship issues and job dissatisfaction. My approach to therapy is to use self understanding and awareness as a mechanism for change. Treatments could include psychoanalytic and psychodynamic techniques to access unconscious material or a more problem focused, short term approach depending on the issues at hand. I also work with Trauma using EMDR.

I am a solo practitioner certified in Teletherapy.
I am dedicated to helping others re-experience themselves. While we all experience struggles, there are times when managing them can be more difficult. Feelings of vulnerability, shame, and fear can easily become chains that hold us down. We begin to give away our power by allowing others to decide how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and our lives. We use food, emotions, behaviors, alcohol, and drugs hoping to protect ourselves. In these attempts we surrender even more power. The energy we once used to live in love, abundance, and wellness is no longer available: as a limited resource, it's now all used up.

Waitlist for new clients
I see clients at my office in Northeast Minneapolis and online Monday-Thursday.
The clients I work with come from different backgrounds and experiences, each with their own unique challenges and hopes for therapy. Some are navigating relationship struggles, others are processing anxiety, self-doubt, or the impact of past experiences. Whether they seek more fulfilling connections, emotional clarity, or a deeper sense of self-trust, they’re looking for a space where their personal history, culture, and the larger systems they navigate are understood and explored.

Online Therapy Therapists
Is online therapy as effective as in-person?
Numerous studies suggest that online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy. However, further research is needed to determine if online therapy provides the same benefits across all client populations. Individuals with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, or those who may benefit from in-person check-ins, like those with eating disorders, may not experience the same level of benefit from online therapy. Nonetheless, the success of online therapy, much like in-person therapy, often hinges on the quality of the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client rather than the specific modality of therapy used.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of therapy conducted online?
One of the main advantages of online therapy is its convenience for both clients and therapists. It also allows clients who require specialized therapy to access a wider range of professionals than they could with only in-person sessions. Additionally, online therapy may be a more affordable option in some cases and often offers the same insurance benefits as in-person therapy. However, online therapy may not be suitable for everyone, especially those who value face-to-face interaction with a therapist. Therapists may find it more challenging to assess clients accurately in an online setting due to reduced nonverbal cues on camera. There is also the increased risk that disruptions caused by external factors, such as technology malfunctions, can hinder the therapy session. For these reasons, many therapists offer a "hybrid" therapeutic approach, alternating between seeing clients in-person and online.

Is online therapy suitable for children and adolescents?
Just like with adults, the accessibility and convenience of online therapy can greatly benefit children and adolescents. In fact, children and adolescents may be more accustomed to navigating online platforms than older adults, making online sessions feel more natural for them. Teens might also be interested in using additional online tools, such as therapist-recommended apps, as an adjunct to online therapy sessions. Apps for developing CBT skills, practicing mindfulness exercises, or tracking thoughts and moods can be helpful for teens receiving therapy. However, it's important to note that not all therapeutic modalities are well-suited to online therapy, especially those used with younger children. For example, play therapy, which helps younger children express their emotions, often requires in-person sessions to be fully effective.

Can I receive prescriptions and medication management with online therapy?
The ability for psychiatrists to prescribe medications through online therapy varies based on the medication and the states where the medical professional and client are located. While many prescribing regulations were relaxed during the COVID-19 pandemic, some states still enforce rules, especially concerning controlled substances, which may mandate an in-person visit before prescribing. Generally, however, medical professionals can prescribe non-controlled substances through online therapy sessions just as they do during in-person sessions.
