I incorporate elements of humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness practices into my approach.
My ideal client is someone that has an idea of their goals and what they would like to pursue in therapy, but needs the extra insight and encouragement to clarify those goals or to take the first steps in accomplishing them. They may be struggling with mood issues, have trouble controlling their thoughts, or be dealing with difficult or contentious relationships. They are in need of someone to listen to them, to provide empathy and validation, and then to help guide them along the path they have chosen to make the changes they wish to see in their life.

I have specific training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma therapy, DBT, Mindfulness practices, CBT, and psychodynamic therapies.
You come to me because something in your life isn’t going right and I welcome you with loving kindness (and a sense of humor!) I work with adults experiencing a variety of life challenges. I particularly enjoy working with men who feel a little suspicious or skeptical about the usefulness of therapy. I find all people interesting and worthy, so I can't wait to meet you!

Together we will work to uncover the details of your story, developing coping strategies through mindfulness , meditation, vision boards and more.
You’re wrong again! Or at least thats what you’ve been told over & over again, to the point that your brain feels like its floating in acid water, slowing dissolving your ability to perceive any given situation, event or memory of a conversation accurately. You don’t recall having problems with memory or perception before this relationship. You’re struggling to make sense of every day things. This is just one of the effects of narcissistic abuse. It's called gaslighting, it's an insidious tool used to erode your ability to perceive reality and its also one of the most common tools used by a narcissist to control and manipulate you.

My approach in psychotherapy is a holistic, Adlerian approach with an emphasis in mindfulness and CBT interventions.
A client who would be a good fit who is an individual or family that want to go to therapy. I don't have preferences when it comes to ages and genders or sexuality. Although kids and teens have gravitated towards me because of my playful nature, and creativity in sessions. I find myself drawn to working with individuals who often people please, carry feelings of guilt, self doubt, and low self esteem. I enjoy watching others identify boundaries and help implement them. I work best with people who are open and curious in trying new things. Let collaborate and reach those goals!

We will work through a cognitive behavioral lens blended with mindfulness practice, acceptance, and humanistic ideals.
I respond to emails and phone calls as soon as possible, I respect the effort of those seeking therapy. I've been at this for 5 years now, and I am always fascinated by the infinite variety of ways people can get themselves in and out of trouble. I work with adults to overcome roadblocks, better understand themselves, and otherwise self-actualize. My clinical interests include depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, self-esteem, unwanted substance and behavioral patterns, among others. I value empowerment highly in the therapeutic process and work well with motivated clients.

I work from an integrated approach, incorporating mindfulness to help people achieve a more connected mind, body & spirit.
I am passionate about helping you heal & grow. I provide a comfortable, non-judgmental & supportive atmosphere where you can process difficult emotions, gain awareness of what keeps you in suffering, & integrate newfound insights to bring relief. I am sensitive to the ways your past experiences & future anxieties impact your present. When traumatic events or unexpressed feelings are left unattended we can become identified with these states and depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship problems and self-sabotage can arise. It can be difficult to make changes & overcome obstacles without support, new tools or insight.

Combining these trauma therapies with CBT, solution focused, internal parts work, somatic and mindfulness -based therapies helps me facilitate culturally sensitive therapy solutions for clients to create positive change in their lives.
Albert Einstein remarked, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving”. At various times in our life we find ourselves challenged to do just that as we struggle to make it through the day. Using a strengths-based perspective, I will collaborate with you to understand and confront your unique challenges and empower you to find the inner strength and resources to facilitate positive healing change so you can keep moving forward. I firmly believe that while change is inevitable, being paralyzed by change is not and you have the power to construct your own unique pathway to optimal health and wellness.

My knowledge base is informed by treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness practices.
My life’s work has led me to specializing in helping adult men navigate through their worlds in an effort to make progress in their lives. While I specialize in providing counseling to men, I’m open to seeing any individual who is seeking to take their wellness to the next level. My holistic approach to wellness goes beyond mental health counseling to helping those who want to navigate career development, financial counseling, nutrition, extracurricular activity development, and coping with day-to-day stressors.

I primarily draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy & mindfulness based self-compassion.
“The single story creates stereotypes, and the problem with stereotypes is not that they are untrue, but that they are incomplete. They make one story become the only story." -Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. We often create a story about our lives that is untrue or unkind. We become bound by shame, guilt or negative self-perceptions. These views shape how we show up in the world and dictate what we feel we deserve and what we can achieve. Four principles of my therapeutic practice include: addressing shame, challenging negative core beliefs, building self-awareness and creating self-efficacy.
