Therapy That Includes the Body — You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or at a meaningful turning point in your life. Perhaps you’ve done insight-oriented therapy or personal growth work, yet something still feels stuck in your body or nervous system. You might feel disconnected from your intuition, creativity, or sense of purpose. My clients are often seeking more than symptom management — they want embodied healing, regulation, and lasting change. They are ready to explore their inner experience with curiosity and care, and to reconnect with a deeper sense of vitality, authenticity, and direction.

When we feel stuck in life everything can feel difficult and like a battle; I believe there is no need to face issues alone. With a collaborative approach, I can help people better understand the life events that have shaped their view of the world. Every individual experiences events that can discourage us. My goal is to help highlight the unique strengths that lie within all of us. I strive to help children/adolescents, families, and adults to recognize the meaning they attach to life experiences. When we understand the meaning we attach to events, we better understand our choices.

I also have training in psychedelic-assisted therapy and provide ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and ketamine treatment in close collaboration with a medical provider.
I specialize in evaluating and treating emotional disorders (depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, etc.) using semi-structured protocols that are typically completed in 12–16 sessions. I have a special interest in working with college and graduate students and have experience in college counseling centers. Our first 2–3 sessions will focus on diagnostic clarification and treatment planning using questionnaires, a standardized clinical interview, brief measures, and the PAI+ —a 344-item measure typically used only in formal psychological testing. We will then discuss the results and select a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

I also offer Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (which is especially healing for severe trauma) and psychedelic integration.
Your trauma is your superpower. Right now, it might feel like a cruel, relentless voice in your head, causing unbearable suffering, making you feel alone and lost ... like you can’t trust yourself. It hurts, physically and emotionally; it might feel like life will always be this way. Our work together is a kind of alchemy: together, we’ll bring all the love, understanding, and skill we can muster to help the worst things you have experienced become the best things about you. We'll focus on bringing awareness, compassion, and understanding within, to parts of yourself that keep you feeling anxious, depressed, and not good enough.

You are capable of living a rich, vibrant, and deeply fulfilling life. Yet even the most driven, insightful individuals can find themselves navigating barriers such as trauma, anxiety, substance use, eating disorders, or the quiet weight of chronic stress. These challenges can disconnect you from your sense of clarity, purpose, and ease. I offer a highly personalized, collaborative therapeutic experience designed to meet you with both depth and discretion. Drawing from evidence-based approaches, I tailor our work to align with your unique needs, values, and goals.

I enjoy working with individual clients who identify with anxiety, what-ifs and regrets, and feeling insecure in their relationships - either romantic or platonic. My clients are often challenged with rethinking conversations and interactions, which is utterly exhausting. They often find themselves fantasizing about the past when they felt less shame and regret – a time that felt lighter, filled with more joy and presence, and waking up feeling rested and ready for the day. It’s possible to return to those days. My clients often start therapy feeling frustrated, defeated and exhausted and leave sessions with clarity and hope.

As someone who’s recovered from PTSD myself, I know healing is possible. I’ve found that shifting how we relate to triggers can make a big difference. Instead of avoiding them, I see triggers as messengers. An invitation to explore what’s going on beneath the surface. Our symptoms are a form of communication; they’re intelligent and show up for a reason. When we listen with curiosity, they can guide us toward the root of our suffering.

I founded Twin Lakes Therapy to offer a grounded space where adults can work through addiction, trauma, and the emotional patterns that keep them stuck. Managing these co-occurring issues alone is not recommended. Some bounce back and forth from therapists to treatment centers for management, making no progress in the disconnected process. The recommended approach is co-occurring treatment, and I have helped hundreds of people recover their lives by helping them manage addiction while exploring, uncovering, and improving their inner lives and their relationships with others.

What is Ketamine-Assisted Therapy?
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is a treatment method that involves using ketamine’s trance-inducing and pain-relieving properties to help individuals work through various mental and emotional challenges.

Why is Ketamine used for depression?
Ketamine is employed to treat depression, particularly when other treatments have failed, due to its unique, rapid-acting relief of depressive symptoms and its ability to enhance neural plasticity. Unlike conventional antidepressants, which may take weeks to be effective, ketamine can alleviate symptoms within hours, making it especially valuable for severe or suicidal depression. It acts by blocking NMDA receptors, subsequently promoting the release of neurotrophic factors like BDNF, which aid in the formation of new synaptic connections, fostering neural resilience and reducing depressive symptoms. The psychotropic and dissociative effects of ketamine also provide a therapeutic window for patients to explore and reframe distressing thoughts and emotions under guided supervision, potentially resolving underlying psychological contributors to depression. While its use can be transformative, it necessitates cautious administration in controlled settings due to potential side effects and abuse risks.

How is Ketamine used in Psychotherapy
Ketamine can be utilized in therapy to facilitate psychological healing and transformation, particularly in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. When administered in controlled, subanesthetic doses, it induces altered states of consciousness, allowing individuals to access and explore suppressed or unconscious thoughts, emotions, and memories. This dissociative state creates a therapeutic window where patients, guided by a trained psychotherapist, can work through traumatic experiences, reframe negative thought patterns, and address the emotional roots of their mental health challenges. The synergistic combination of ketamine’s psychotropic effects and psychotherapeutic intervention aims to promote lasting change, enhance self-awareness, and improve overall mental well-being, providing a valuable option for those with treatment-resistant mental health conditions.

What happens in Ketamine therapy?
In ketamine psychotherapy, patients undergo a series of sessions where they receive controlled doses of ketamine, typically via injection or infusion, under the supervision of a trained healthcare provider. Ketamine induces a trance-like or altered state of consciousness, which enables patients to access and explore deep-seated thoughts, emotions, and memories that are typically unconscious or inaccessible. Throughout this altered state, a trained psychotherapist guides the patient to help them process their experiences, offering support and intervention to help the individual address and reframe traumatic memories or negative thought patterns. This combination of pharmacological and psychotherapeutic approaches aims to create lasting positive changes in mental health and well-being by resolving underlying psychological issues and enhancing the individual's coping mechanisms and resilience. The process can be particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with treatment-resistant mental health conditions like severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
