If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or not quite like yourself, there’s a reason for what you’re experiencing. Life’s challenges can impact how you think, feel, and move through the world. Whether you’re new to therapy or ready to go deeper, I offer a space where you’re seen as a whole person, not just a set of struggles. As a trauma specialist, I understand that trauma is woven into the human condition. Together, we’ll move toward a life that feels more grounded, clear, and intentional.

My ideal client—my people—are ready for real change. They’re thoughtful, self-aware, and tired of managing symptoms instead of transforming patterns. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma responses, or feeling stuck in fear-based thinking, even after previous therapy. They’re open-minded, value authenticity, and willing to explore how thoughts, emotional states, and energy shape their lived experience. They want a therapeutic relationship that feels human and real—and they’re ready to learn tools that actually work.

I help individuals or families facing challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, or stress that are seeking healing and personal growth. They may be struggling with past wounds or current life difficulties and need a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore their emotions, gain clarity, and work through their pain. They desire to feel heard, understood, and supported by a therapist who is both experienced and empathetic. Their goal is to regain control over their lives, build resilience, and develop coping strategies that help them navigate life’s complexities with confidence, peace, and a renewed sense of well-being.

I am passionate about working with young adults and college students who are seeking personal growth, self-discovery, and meaningful change in their lives. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or navigating life transitions, I understand how these challenges can impact your mental health and prevent you from living the life you want. Through a collaborative and holistic approach, I use evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help you overcome these difficulties and achieve lasting change.

Let's be honest-sitting across from someone you don't know can be awkward and intimidating! You may feel lost and need someone to walk, provide a sounding board, and/or get in the trenches with you. I provide a safe space to do these things! Therapy is a relationship and should be treated as such. I use a relational approach with self disclosure when necessary. My style is very conversational whilst allowing my clients to be the experts on their own life and come to conclusions on their own. I provide more structure when it's wanted or needed and can do the opposite as well.

Life has a way of presenting us with challenges we never asked for. It's true that we can’t control if or when these show up, but we can choose how to respond. This often means stepping away from reactions rooted in fear, habit, or distorted self-perceptions. By letting go of what no longer serves us, we can develop new skills that move us closer to the life we want to live, even in the face of various difficulties.

We’ve all struggled at times, in ways both big and small. If you are interested in changing your relationship with yourself and others, I can help. People come to me to better their communication skills, unlearn patters that negatively impact their significant relationships (including with self), and make room for joy and meaning. Some clients come looking for tools to manage anxiety; others seek tips and insight for navigating through grief and loss; still others wish to improve their intimacy and communication with their partners. I work with individuals, couples, and families on a wide range of life's experiences.

Why do you seem to grow irritable and frustrated with other people? Is there something that keeps you from being able to communicate with your partner? Something that keeps you from doing well at work? Why is it so hard to talk to that family member, to trust other people--to trust even your own judgment? You know just what you want to do in life (growth, stability, security, find a supportive romantic relationship), yet, so many of your goals have never been realized.

Intervention Therapists
How does an intervention work?
An intervention is a planned, structured meeting in which a person’s family or friends voice concerns about the person’s behavior and its consequences; the goal is for the person to accept treatment. In this meeting, the person’s loved ones (often with the guidance of a trained interventionist) share how the person’s behavior has harmed them and the consequences if the person refuses treatment. They collectively ask the person to accept a proposed treatment plan.

How effective are interventions?
There isn’t extensive research on the efficacy of interventions, in part because success is difficult to measure. Individuals often enter addiction treatment after an intervention, for example, but treatment itself may not work, especially if the person only begins due to external pressure from others rather than due to internal motivation to change. However, if all other attempts at helping someone have failed, an intervention may be worth exploring.

What are the limitations of interventions?
While a friend or family member’s intentions are in the right place in wanting to help a loved one through an intervention, there are significant limitations to the approach. The surprising nature of the event can make the person feel ambushed or judged. They may feel embarrassed or ashamed as a result, and relationships may be strained or broken. This can make it difficult for the individual to be receptive to the concerns of their loved ones and the interventionist.

Are there alternatives to interventions?
Rather than confronting a loved one through an intervention, an effective and less pressured approach is to create space for a caring, open, one-on-one conversation. This works best if the loved one asks open-ended questions, listens attentively to the answers, and frames their observations and statements with concern rather than judgment. More than one conversation may be needed, but change can take root over time.
