I have found a deep passion for supporting couples, individuals and families navigating the outfall of past traumas, anxiety, depression or relational challenges including infidelity.
Accepting new clients/couples. I am committed to creating a space for curiosity to take the lead. I consider much of what I do to be allowing client's to grow in their ability to identify and reframe the stories they have formed about their lives and hold compassion for the way they have been human along the way. I have a great deal of gratitude for the deep, sometimes painful, places my clients allow me to explore alongside them. Regardless of where you find yourself, I would be honored to sit with you, believing that each of us is nuanced and worthy of this.

Areas I help clients with are: infidelity, couple's therapy, monogamous and polyamorous relationships, uncoupling, divorce and blended families, adult mother/daughter relationships.
Considering therapy is courageous! I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and validating space for couples, individuals, and families to gain clarity about unhelpful patterns, get support as they work through emotions that are tough to feel and even tougher to share. I hope to help clients build a solid emotional intelligence tool kit to respond more intuitively to themselves and more effectively to the people around them. I believe that in the face of life’s challenges, people are capable of change and of living their best lives. My hope is that you will be empowered to believe that, too.

I work with couples who are:
• Recovering from infidelity or emotional betrayal
• Caught in high-conflict cycles—yelling, silence, blame, or shutdown
• Struggling with emotional or sexual disconnection
• Navigating trauma that’s impacting the relationship
• Feeling lost in the “should we stay or should we leave
You’re not broken—and neither is your relationship.
But if it feels like you’re stuck in the same fight, if trust is shattered, or if you’re both walking on eggshells, something needs to shift. I specialize in working with couples facing the hardest stuff: betrayals, shutdowns, explosive conflict, trauma histories, and the question of whether to stay or go. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment science, and trauma-informed approaches to get beneath the surface fights and into the heart of what’s really happening.

For over 45+ years, I have worked extensively with individuals, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, or other complex feelings related to difficult life transitions as well as to specific issues such as extramarital affairs, divorce, parental alienation, domestic violence, loss and grief, underachieving adolescents and young adults, etc.
Although I occasionally meet with individuals, I more often work with both members of a couple or several family members as a group. There is no additional charge for doing so. Sessions might be held weekly or bi-weekly, or monthly. I also work with couples and families in “Marathon” sessions. This requires scheduling up to 6 hours per day for 1 or 2 days.

You may be dealing with issues like an unbalanced division of labor/mental load, infidelity & other betrayals, a persistent sexual desire discrepancy; or with wanting to regain a sense of vitality that has been absent for too long.
I help partners truly hear and understand each other, and shift out of a painful, hopeless, disconnected rut toward the three C’s - compassion, collaboration, and connection.
Of course, not every relationship will or should continue. And in those cases, I’m here to help you move forward with new insights, skills, and optimism.

My passion lies in supporting and empowering people to bravely move through the complex issues that come up in their lives - divorce, codependency, infidelity, chronic pain & illness, and political stress.
We're in this together. There are 3 extrinsic things that make humans happy - relationships, helping people, and personal growth. We need each other, now more than ever. We need to connect and talk without shame, and validate our feelings about the unknown. We need to piece together these incongruent realities of the world, at least for now.

Infidelity Therapists
How does therapy for infidelity work?
A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.
How long does therapy for infidelity take?
Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.
How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?
When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.
How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?
Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
