I work with individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, self-discovery, rumination, and building a loving relationship with themselves. I also support those navigating estranged relationships. With couples and parents, I help them navigate shifts in their relationship dynamics—whether expanding their family, managing parental burnout, or feeling the weight of the invisible load. I encourage couples to embrace healthy communication, approach conflict with curiosity, and cultivate safety during vulnerable moments. I also specialize in supporting mothers with boundaries, anger, community building, and the challenges of PPA/D.

I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. Many of my clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, or neurodivergence, but I also work with a wide range of challenges—identity, relationships, burnout, and more. My clients want a safe, affirming space to feel seen, build insight, and create change at their own pace with warmth, acceptance, and a bit of humor.

Why do you seem to grow irritable and frustrated with other people? Is there something that keeps you from being able to communicate with your partner? Something that keeps you from doing well at work? Why is it so hard to talk to that family member, to trust other people--to trust even your own judgment? You know just what you want to do in life (growth, stability, security, find a supportive romantic relationship), yet, so many of your goals have never been realized.

As Rumi says, “This being human is a guest house…” for joy, depression, awareness, meanness, shame as well as the peace or the chaos they can bring into our lives. They come as guides and often don’t leave us until they teach us what we need to learn. Learning to meet and face these guests head-on can require compassion, non-judgmental guidance, patience, support and to know that you are not alone in this human experience. I believe that everyone deserves a safe place to discover who they are. A place to be honest and to be vulnerable without fear or judgment.

“I am out with lanterns, looking for myself.” -Emily Dickenson. Can you relate, like you've lost parts of yourself? Whether it’s due to trauma, anxiety, addiction, ADHD, co-dependency, or parenthood, it can be tricky to put your finger on. Let’s get curious about those stories you’re carrying; most likely, they are heavy, and a part of you is ready to become unburdened. Together, we can move through the layers of your life, explore times, relationships and situations that contain conflict. I’ll meet you where you’re at, and from there, encourage you to identify themes and patterns in your life that are no longer working for you.

People come to therapy for many reasons. In the first few sessions, I want to get to know you--what you are struggling with, your hopes and fears for the future, what seems to be getting in the way, what strengths and assets you bring. Together, we arrive at a plan, identifying your goals, sources of distress, and how best to work toward symptom relief and greater satisfaction with life and relationships. My approach integrates several treatment modalities, including psychoanalytic/psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based therapies, life-span developmental approaches, attachment theory, family and couples therapy.

Saba believes in the capacity of therapy to help people make changes in their lives that they've struggled with alone - struggles with relationships, habits and repetitions, or work/career difficulties. Often the barriers to change are emotions such as fear, trauma, guilt, shame, feeling of disconnection or self-criticism. By broadening the tolerance and capacity for emotional experiences and reflective thinking, Saba believes that therapy helps the client open up to more options of change and a new, better path for life.

Whether you’re carrying unspoken pressure, navigating family expectations, or feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, or sadness—you don’t have to go through it alone. Many of us grow up learning to be strong, to stay quiet, or to put others first. But your story matters, and your healing matters too. I work with adults and adolescents who may be facing anxiety, depression, grief, difficult relationships, or major life transitions. I also support those carrying intergenerational stress, immigration-related struggles, or the invisible weight of trying to be the “strong one” in the family.

I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and co-creating an environment for you to share and feel your most authentic range of emotions, especially the ones you were taught to hide or felt too big to face. I prioritize working with our collective process in the room so that you may better understand the experiences and familiar narratives that have left you feeling stuck, unheard, or disconnected, to create room to explore and connect more deeply with yourself and others. I often work with trans and queer community and folks with marginalized relationship structures/embodiments.

I am a compassionate and clear-thinking therapist. For the past thirty years, I have worked with clients to help them unravel problematic emotions, develop more resilience, and expand self-awareness. I use a psychodynamically informed approach, which means the therapy focuses both on current symptoms and problems, as well as underlying root causes. My style is interactive, engaging, and direct. I bring warmth, dedication, and an open presence to help clients sort through difficult issues and develop lasting confidence.
