I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy, biofeedback and neurofeedback to help people , including reducing or eliminating the need for medications.
My specialty is helping people with "ADHD," anxiety, depression and/or medical conditions exacerbated by stress learn to regulate their brain/body better. We (Liz, Brenda and myself) all use similar methods to help people move toward the goals they define with CBT, biofeedback, art, meditation training, assertiveness and communication skills.

I work with all ages, individuals, couples and families using experiential therapies (Art, Biofeedback and Qeeg guided Neurofeedback) and more traditional talk therapies (Cognitive Behavioral Methods) so that you can learn more about yourself and others, live well, feel content and achieve what you desire.
Art Therapy gives the right brain/nonverbal side of us a way to express feelings through creative images. We paint, draw, make and fire ceramic clay objects. The process of art-making goes along side by side with relaxation skill-building. Learning how the way you think about and appraise situations gives you choices about how you respond emotionally.

I love helping you in finding what's feasible for change in your day to day as well as finding incremental goals in your journey. Life can be hard and we CAN do the hard things, sometimes we just need a nudge and a safe space to do so. I'm here to hold space and help you find your future self. You aren't broken, you just need a fine tune in your life, and sometimes that's breaking old habits, sometimes that's looking forward to different things, sometimes it's finding satisfaction in the mundane or aiming for balance and new alignment in your thoughts and actions. You're the expert of your life, I'm your guide.

I believe when working with people you must look at all aspects of their being; the mental, biological, emotional, spiritual, and cultural to address issues being experienced. Our work as therapists is to work as guides, along with the client, to explore deeper issues that are manifesting in their lives. I seek to find an integrative approach with each client that best fits their needs. Providing a safe and empathetic environment, informed by mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, and other therapeutic theories and methods, I work to empower and develop skills that provide positive change in client’s lives.

Whether you are looking to address stress and/or anxiety, heal from past trauma, or make shifts in your current approach to life, my intention is to help you live in greater alignment. I believe that life offers a full range of experiences including experiences we may identify as pleasant and those which seem less pleasant (often learning opportunities in disguise). It has been my experience that when we align with our truth and open up to all parts of ourselves as well as to all of our experiences, we can live life more fully with less fear and shame, perhaps grounding into our highest Self.

Openings for online clients. I specialize in helping people who feel they are not “enough” or should be different or perfect. They often feel invisible, unappreciated, and end up in "toxic" relationships. Do you give your kindness and compassion to others but not yourself? If you're willing to feel all the feelings and be vulnerable, you can challenge the "shoulds" in your mind and learn to accept and celebrate your authentic self. You can correct unhealthy relationship patterns (even with yourself), assert good boundaries, and practice self-compassion. Life is hard enough without you being so hard on yourself!

Hello. I have always desired to understand feelings, behavior and the human mind; always been driven toward solving the questions that start with why. I would deem it a privilege to take the time with someone to answer how they can move forward from their situation and how they can deal with whatever hand life has dealt them, as well as being able to diagnose any conditions before initiating treatment. My hope for all clients is to get them to a place where therapy is a choice or no longer needing therapy to achieve their goals in life. Book with me now by clicking on my website.

Biofeedback Therapists

Can biofeedback help with anxiety?

Biofeedback is often used to treat anxiety, including generalized anxiety disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. Anecdotal evidence and some research studies have found that it can improve symptoms of these disorders, sometimes significantly; however, studies on biofeedback have typically been small and researchers have cautioned that many have significant limitations, such as limited follow-up or a lack of a control group.

Is biofeedback evidence-based?

There is some evidence that biofeedback can effectively treat certain conditions; for example, its efficacy in treating headaches and urinary incontinence is generally thought to be well-established. There is also promising, but less conclusive, evidence that it can aid in stroke recovery or help someone manage a mental health disorder such as anxiety, depression, or ADHD.

What is the difference between biofeedback and neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that measures brain activity specifically; it is typically used to treat psychological or neurodevelopmental concerns such as ADHD, depression, insomnia, or autism spectrum disorder. Biofeedback is a broader category that, in addition to neurofeedback, also includes electromyogram, heart rate variability, and thermal biofeedback, each of which measures a particular physiological function (muscle activity, heart rate, and skin temperature, respectively)

What are the limitations of biofeedback?

While biofeedback may be helpful for certain conditions, its efficacy is less assured for others, such as high blood pressure. People with certain health conditions such as heart arrhythmia may not be able to benefit from biofeedback because their condition may interfere with the machines’ readings. Biofeedback can also be time-consuming and costly, and may not be covered by health insurance.
