I have worked with kids, teens, and young adults who are experiencing persistent pain and health conditions that disrupt their life for the past 11 years. I help people get back to what they want to be doing by teaching people how to overcome distressing physical symptoms, establish healthy routines (even sleep!), and teaching effective stress management. I tailor psychological science to you using humor, sarcasm, and direct, no-nonsense conversation.

If you or a loved one is experiencing a life transition, new or chronic medical condition, or adjusting to aging I'd love to work with you. I have worked in healthcare for over a decade and understand the challenges of navigating complex systems. Change, health concerns, and/or aging can be scary, uncertain, and depressing. Important relationships and roles are also often impacted which can cause added stress and difficult decisions. Therapy for you or your loved one can help to address these normal emotional reactions and promote coping skills, resilience, and personal growth.

I believe when working with people you must look at all aspects of their being; the mental, biological, emotional, spiritual, and cultural to address issues being experienced. Our work as therapists is to work as guides, along with the client, to explore deeper issues that are manifesting in their lives. I seek to find an integrative approach with each client that best fits their needs. Providing a safe and empathetic environment, informed by mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, and other therapeutic theories and methods, I work to empower and develop skills that provide positive change in client’s lives.

Openings for online clients! I specialize in helping people who feel they are not “enough” or should be different or perfect. They often feel invisible, unappreciated, and are in "toxic" or even narcissistic relationships. Do you give your kindness and compassion to others but not yourself? If you're willing to feel all the feelings and be vulnerable, you can challenge the "shoulds" in your mind and learn to accept and celebrate your authentic self. You can correct unhealthy relationship patterns (even with yourself), assert good boundaries, and practice self-compassion. Life is hard enough without you being so hard on yourself!

Hello. I have always desired to understand feelings, behavior and the human mind; always been driven toward solving the questions that start with why. I would deem it a privilege to take the time with someone to answer how they can move forward from their situation and how they can deal with whatever hand life has dealt them, as well as being able to diagnose any conditions before initiating treatment. My hope for all clients is to get them to a place where therapy is a choice or no longer needing therapy to achieve their goals in life. Book with me now by clicking on my website.

I have been working as a psychotherapist since 2016, and I like helping people better manage living out their own sense of a valued life in a world that often doesn't make that easy. Trauma, anxiety, depression, and our own pasts often get in the way, and I help to better approach the internal barriers that often build up around our past, as well as with finding ways to better manage the difficulties life is constantly throwing our way.

Do you ever feel a heaviness without knowing why? Doing everything “right” but never quite feeling like it’s enough. Caught in worry loops that leave you drained, over-preparing for the worst, or frozen by racing thoughts? I have been there. I know how draining it is to carry so much while still questioning your path. I also know therapy isn’t just about listening. My approach is active and collaborative, offering tools, talk, and somatic practices to help you release old lenses and create a life that feels authentic, grounded, and fully your own.

Biofeedback Therapists
Can biofeedback help with anxiety?
Biofeedback is often used to treat anxiety, including generalized anxiety disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. Anecdotal evidence and some research studies have found that it can improve symptoms of these disorders, sometimes significantly; however, studies on biofeedback have typically been small and researchers have cautioned that many have significant limitations, such as limited follow-up or a lack of a control group.

Is biofeedback evidence-based?
There is some evidence that biofeedback can effectively treat certain conditions; for example, its efficacy in treating headaches and urinary incontinence is generally thought to be well-established. There is also promising, but less conclusive, evidence that it can aid in stroke recovery or help someone manage a mental health disorder such as anxiety, depression, or ADHD.

What is the difference between biofeedback and neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that measures brain activity specifically; it is typically used to treat psychological or neurodevelopmental concerns such as ADHD, depression, insomnia, or autism spectrum disorder. Biofeedback is a broader category that, in addition to neurofeedback, also includes electromyogram, heart rate variability, and thermal biofeedback, each of which measures a particular physiological function (muscle activity, heart rate, and skin temperature, respectively)

What are the limitations of biofeedback?
While biofeedback may be helpful for certain conditions, its efficacy is less assured for others, such as high blood pressure. People with certain health conditions such as heart arrhythmia may not be able to benefit from biofeedback because their condition may interfere with the machines’ readings. Biofeedback can also be time-consuming and costly, and may not be covered by health insurance.
