I bring over a decade of professional expertise to therapy along with my own life experiences, empathy, understanding and hopefully a little humor along the way. When working with you (licensed in WI, MN, IL) I recognize the many roles you take on in day to day life. By using a client-centered approach, I will support you in your journey of emotional growth and well-being. More than anything, while my license is as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I aim to live my own life as authentically and intentionally as I can as a parent, family member and friend. I strive to bring that same authenticity and intentionality to our sessions.

I am passionate about supporting women as they navigate the perinatal period - pregnancy, birth and postpartum. This is a period of transformation, where we may experience changes emotionally, physically, interpersonally, and with identity. The experience surrounding pregnancy and birth, especially when one or both don’t go as planned, can increase feelings of distress, isolation, and overwhelm - adding challenge to an already intense life transition. We tend to have a lot of judgements about how we "should" feel during this time, and it can be quite upsetting when that doesn't match our experience.

Sleep isn't a luxury - It’s the foundation of everything else you do. When you aren't sleeping, every other challenge in your life feels twice as heavy.
As one of a small number of psychologists board-certified in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (DBSM), I provide a specialized level of care for sleep and performance concerns. I work primarily with individuals who feel like they’ve tried many traditional approaches for their sleep and are looking for something more targeted. My focus is on using evidence-based, short-term protocols (such as CBT-I) to help you reset your body’s natural ability to rest.

I work with many patients who may be unsure how to describe what's "wrong" and whether therapy can help. Other times, a problem may feel so big that it's hard to see what's "right." Therapy gives patients the time and space to explore, and this therapeutic exploration can bring both meaning and healing. What we explore is up to the patient: relationships, beliefs, diagnoses, even dreams. Likewise, I adapt how we explore. I welcome clients to engage intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, somatically, any or all, while recognizing that our most developed means of expression can often speak to our unmet needs.
