Most of us experience barriers at one time or another, be it trauma, loss, depression, anxiety, or another challenge. Therapy is a place to unpack our experiences, understand the meaning we’ve made, heal and grow. I see myself as a partner and guide in helping clients improve their lives and overcome challenges. I practice from a systems and attachment perspective, believing that we are interconnected with those around us, and impacted by greater societal forces daily. I believe we are all seeking connection, to be known, to be loved and understood.

I believe that everyone could use therapy at some point in their lives. Sometimes, the stressors in life become overwhelming enough that people feel stuck and need something to break the cycle. If you are someone that hopes to make emotional and cognitive growth in your life, I'd be happy to help you along that journey.

I’m passionate about working with both adults and children around themes of identity and spirituality, life transitions, relationship and communication challenges, neurodivergence, anxiety, trauma, and perinatal experiences for people of all genders.
I take a holistic approach to mental health counseling, extending beyond the therapy room into relationships and environment. Interpersonal Neurobiology helps inform my understanding of somatic, mind-body healing.

I have the privilege and honor of working with individuals and couples with trauma history using Brainspotting, Narrative Exposure Therapy, and other trauma-focused modalities. I primarily work with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families; however, everyone is welcome in my space. I also work with clients who do not need trauma work and use an experiential approach to therapy. This means I show up authentically, use humor, and think systemically, not just focusing on the individual. I am currently only taking on couples and families as new clients.

Whether you’re going through the ups and downs of pregnancy, adjusting to life after birth, or trying to support a child who’s struggling, it can feel like a lot to carry on your own.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly a decade as a school counselor, working with teens facing mental health challenges. I supported children, parents, and families through anxiety, crisis, behavior concerns, school stress, and transitions. Now I help families build practical skills, strengthen connection, and find steadiness with the right support.

I enjoy working with folks on issues connected to sex, dating, and relationships; trauma healing (personal and generational); identity exploration (racial/cultural/gender/sexuality); body positivity & self-esteem (from a fat liberation lens); and pregnancy/parenting.
My work is rooted in relationships, as healing often happens through deeper connection with others and ourselves. I offer a mix of Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting, and anti-oppressive therapy. I'm sex-positive, queer/trans-affirming, and incorporate traditional healing practices, including rituals and ceremony. With kids I provide play based therapy.

Now Accepting New Clients – You might be expecting a baby, newly postpartum, or years into motherhood—and finding that something doesn’t feel the way you thought it would.
I’m a licensed psychologist specializing in perinatal and postpartum mental health. Therapy with me is a place to slow down and let go of holding it all together. A space to feel seen, heard, and validated—without judgment or pressure to “fix” anything. Motherhood is hard, and support matters. You don’t have to keep doing this alone.

Long suffering is often relieved by exploring prenatal/ perinatal life experiences.
It is my experience that the fullest, most satisfying healing involves our whole person, mind, body, and spirit. By focusing on patterns of movement in the body as well as thinking, we work together to achieve your goals for therapy. A body based and energetic focus is often a new and effective way for people to resolve issues that only talking about them did not reach. I look for resistance and protective actions that no longer serve a person. I emphasize developing aliveness in the body, feeling joyful, free, and peace.

With my special training in pregnancy & postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, I also help new parents get off to a great start, have more fun, and set their family up for long-term success.
I help partners truly hear and understand each other, and shift out of a painful, hopeless, disconnected rut toward the three C’s - compassion, collaboration, and connection. Of course, not every relationship will or should continue. And in those cases, I’m here to help you move forward with new insights, skills, and optimism.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.

Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
