Clients I work with face a variety of challenges in their mental or behavioral health. Their symptoms are depression or anxiety based, sometimes experienced together, as the two dynamics can work hand in hand. In having a comfortable space to examine neglected or avoided areas, one can gain fresh perspective to move forward. A counselor can help to add context through psychoeducation or frameworks to work through said issues. Whether it’s challenges in relationships, managing emotions, trauma, or behaviors that no longer serve us, we can begin to look at it in a safe manner, try some new things, and attempt to get some new results.
I’m trained in a variety of evidence based modalities, namely Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotional Efficacy Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I like to organize sessions visually thoughts through the use of timelines, lists, or diagrams. Clients of mine regard me as comfortable, compassionate, and curious.
