I find that we seek out therapy when what has worked is no longer working and we are feeling stuck, which calls us to understand ourselves differently and move towards change. While change can be uncertain, therapy can offer a deeper understanding of your authentic self and what you need. I have a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing life transitions such as academic and career change, family of origin transitions, family changes, grief and loss, interpersonal distress, trauma and relational concerns. I'm passionate about connecting with teens and adults of all backgrounds and identities.

Some of the interventions I am trained in include: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Brainspotting, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
Sometimes our lives can become overwhelming and challenging. We might encounter events that are out of our control. Perhaps our relationships are rocky, or we are at some point in our lives where change is disruptive and hard to maneuver. Suddenly, we find ourselves needing support and want to explore what therapy might have to offer. I work with individuals, families, and couples in a range of ages, teen to elder. I am also an inclusive provider who is a strong supporter/advocate in working with BIPOC and LBGTQIA2+ communities.

You’re a therapist or helping professional who appears capable and put-together on the outside—but inside you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. You may struggle with chronic self-criticism, perfectionism, or a sense that you’re always in survival mode. Even though you understand the language of mental health, something still feels unresolved. You don’t want quick fixes or surface-level coping strategies—you want to get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck.

Image. Your mind is racing. All. The. Damn. Time. Your to-do list is a collection of post-it notes covering your table and you don't know where to start. You go about your day and all the sudden your heart is pounding, hands shaking, breathing is heavy, you have no idea why you feel this way, but it's confusing and you're losing control. Your internal voice is relentlessly mean and makes you feel like you'll never be "Normal." Sleep what's that? The struggle of being "enough" is real and the weight of your past is dragging you down. You're exhausted, nobody is listening and you feel alone is this fight against your own mind.

I also offer Brainspotting, a body-based method that can reach what words alone sometimes cannot.
Many of my clients find themselves quietly unsettled despite doing everything right. Not in crisis. Just aware that something beneath the surface is asking for attention. They come in carrying burnout, strained relationships, significant life transitions, or experiences that have left lasting marks. Together we slow things down, look honestly at what's driving the experience, and build a path forward that's genuinely theirs — not just the next logical step. Good therapy is rarely about fixing something. It's about seeing more clearly.

I identify as a compassionate and authentic clinician who approaches each session with a strengths-based and client-centered approach. Clients have often described me as creating an open and warm atmosphere to share their unique stories. But fear not! Expect delicate and challenging nudges toward personal awareness and growth intertwined throughout the therapeutic experience. I believe each individual has an inner wisdom and intuition, and with the support of the therapeutic relationship, can create space to tap into this knowledge of self, connection with others, and meaning within the world.

Brainspotting Therapists
How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
