I work with adults and adolescents, helping them overcome anxiety, depression, chemical dependency and other addictions, PTSD and trauma (physical and sexual abuse, rape and domestic violence), family and relationship issues, including adoption, divorce, infidelity, anger, parenting, and issues related to the legal system.
My therapy style is engaged and proactive. Clients repeatedly tell me they feel safe and accepted in therapy to explore their issues, whatever they happen to be. I ask questions and make frequent observations to help clients (1) increase self-awareness and become more comfortable with themselves and their feelings, (2) to make better choices, (3) toward greater satisfaction in their lives and relationships. My unique history helps me understand and relate to the many struggles clients face, without judgment. I offer many helpful tools and insights on my website (see my contact info).

I also support couples facing communication challenges, disconnection, and infidelity and the complexities of separation or divorce.
I often use different approaches to best fit the needs of my patients though I come from a relational psychodynamic background and I hope to collaborate with patients to explore how early relationships, protective strategies, and unconscious dynamics shape current struggles and patterns.

Therapy is different for everyone. I believe one of the most important aspects of successful work in therapy comes from the strength of the client/therapist relationship. The process of solving emotional and relational problems can be both intimidating, and very rewarding. I work to help individuals and couples discover their strengths and build on them. The process of change will be unique to each person, and I am honored to be on it with you.

I specialize in working with teens, families, and couples seeking deeper connection, better communication, and meaningful change. Whether your family is facing a transition, your teen struggles with anxiety/depression or identity, or your relationship feels stuck, I offer a safe space for healing. Many clients come feeling disconnected from themselves, their loved ones, or the life they imagined. Maybe your home feels tense or unpredictable, your teen retreats into silence, or your relationship feels stuck in the same fight. These moments are painful, and they’re also powerful invitations to grow.
