Therapists for Adults in Golden Valley, MN
I offer a warm, affirming space for teens and adults navigating anxiety, ADHD and other neurodivergence, trauma, identity exploration, and the messy realities of growing up (at any age).
In therapy, we’ll explore what’s happening in your life, get curious about patterns, and build skills that help you feel more grounded, empowered, and capable. I use trauma-informed, neurodivergence-affirming care with mindfulness and insight-oriented approaches. Therapy with me is collaborative, validating, and very human.

Finding the optimal therapeutic fit is a bit like going on a blind date... you hope for the best and prepare for the worst. People who think I'm a fit are often high-achieving individuals with an acute awareness of the issue, feel they have tried "everything" to fix it, and are giving therapy “one last chance.” I successfully get clients “unstuck” by challenging them in unconventional, collaborative ways. I intentionally push people 20% past where they are comfortable (because that’s where the growth happens!) and practice pivoting to ensure you have the skills to navigate, manage, and address the discomfort long-term.

I began working as a therapist in a Community Health Center seeing individuals, couples and families with minor to severe mental health issues, many suffering from past trauma. This led me to seek more education, supervision and training to help treat those reporting trauma and dissociative symptoms. Now, I mainly work with individuals dealing with complex trauma and dissociative disorders, though I still see some couples/families where one member is dealing with trauma-related dissociative symptoms. I work collaboratively, partnering with people to help resolve lingering past and current issues to achieve their stated goals.

I focus on individual therapy for adults integrating various modalities including mind-body practices, cognitive reframing, self-acceptance, attachment theory, self-care/behavioral strategies and other therapy methods.
Individuals find their way to therapy for many reasons. Perhaps you are suffering the stress of a relationship breakup, loss of a job, death of a loved one or parenting pressures. Or, maybe you've decided it's time to address a long-standing issue that is interfering with life satisfaction. It could be as specific as an unresolved childhood trauma or as general as nagging doubts about your self-worth or a feeling that you're not living your life in ways consistent with your core beliefs.

Nosce te Ipsum” — “Know Thy Self” (Latin) Specializing in solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness-based strategies, I offer a comfortable environment where my clients develop the tools required to increase their understanding of how beliefs, perceptions, and behaviors shape identity. Therapy, above all else, is an investment in self-knowledge. Who better to understand than the person you are with 24/7? The more you comprehend, the more confident you feel, and the better equipped you are to navigate life’s uncertainties.
