It is a deep human desire to be seen, heard, loved and known. I am honored and humbled by my clients inviting me into their lives to witness their pain, struggles and perseverance. I am with my clients to empower and challenge them in their growth, healing and beauty. No matter the past or path that got them into the counseling room with me, my main focus is to partner with them to build a better future. Not a future to just feel better or make it to the next day or hope to have better relationship or to get over the past; but beyond. We work together as a team to flourish as a child of God, this side of Heaven.

You may be experiencing a sense of disconnection due to chronic stress or being in constant survival mode. Unacknowledged or unprocessed experiences with trauma, injustice, grief, loss, and neglect, can lead to emotional, mental, and physical overwhelm. This can show up as anxiety, depression, fatigue, dysregulation, burnout, numbing, people-pleasing, perfectionism, overthinking, hyper-independence, procrastination, and negative self-talk. Life doesn't have to feel this way. Together, we will work toward cultivating a deeper sense of safety, connection, and resilience, helping you feel more grounded in mind and body.

Unresolved trauma and chronic stress can quietly shape emotional regulation, relationships, and sense of self. I provide specialized psychotherapy for adults and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, relational distress, caregiving strain, and major life transitions. Clients often present with patterns in which past experiences continue to influence present-day emotions, body responses, and relational dynamics. Why do you seem to grow irritable and frustrated with other people? Is there something that keeps you from being able to communicate with your partner? Something that keeps you from doing well at work? Why is it so hard to talk to that family member, to trust other people--to trust even your own judgment? You know just what you want to do in life (growth, stability, security, find a supportive romantic relationship), yet, so many of your goals have never been realized.

I like to work with clients navigating trauma, self-esteem, personality-related challenges, and neurodivergence in a warm, down-to-earth space. Together, we can build coping skills (that actually work outside of the office), strengthen emotional regulation, and look at patterns that might be getting in your way. My focus is on helping you reconnect with your strengths, see yourself with more compassion, and feel more grounded as you grow, heal, and move toward a more authentic life.

Addiction and its accompanying issues make life a struggle for both the client and for those who love them. Those in active addiction intuitively know there is a gap between the life they're demonstrating and the possibilities their potential affords - if they could only get out of their own way. My methods promote profound fundamental change: the shedding of self-destructive attributes, the definition of a clear, compelling vision for the future, and the tools clients need to implement strategies that will enable them to become the best possible version of themselves.

Hello! I'm so honored that you're considering partnering with me on your journey of emotional growth. This is going to sound dorky and rehearsed; but helping people heal, grow, and live unapologetically authentic is my passion! Being real, I know how hard the step you're taking right now is. But I also know how important it is, & the courage it takes to trust someone to walk with you through the hard work of healing.. You. Are. Courageous. Honestly, you can and will work harder than me through this. But you'll never be alone in it. So if you're ready, reach out! Call, text, or email me. I'm so excited to work together.

Do you ever ask yourself, with a little curiosity, "What the hell is my life?" as you are pondering what you want and how to get there? Loneliness sucks. Connection is difficult. Unhealthy coping tools feel easier to use than the good ones. Together, we will work on changing the narrative, coping with the intense pressure and stress you are facing, focusing on your strengths, and allowing space to connect to compassion for yourself. I work with people who struggle with mental health and addiction, relationship issues, self-esteem, isolation and a general disconnect from life. What is creating a block for you? Let's get to work.

I've helped many people work through difficult challenges they're facing and would like to help you too. I have a very straight forward, assertive and somewhat irreverent communication style. We work hard, bravely dig as deep as we need to and have some belly laughs along the way. My clients appreciate how real and raw it can get, they feel free to share the good, bad and the ugly. If you're ready to be a good student I am a good teacher, let's roll up our sleeves?!

Intervention Therapists
How does an intervention work?
An intervention is a planned, structured meeting in which a person’s family or friends voice concerns about the person’s behavior and its consequences; the goal is for the person to accept treatment. In this meeting, the person’s loved ones (often with the guidance of a trained interventionist) share how the person’s behavior has harmed them and the consequences if the person refuses treatment. They collectively ask the person to accept a proposed treatment plan.

How effective are interventions?
There isn’t extensive research on the efficacy of interventions, in part because success is difficult to measure. Individuals often enter addiction treatment after an intervention, for example, but treatment itself may not work, especially if the person only begins due to external pressure from others rather than due to internal motivation to change. However, if all other attempts at helping someone have failed, an intervention may be worth exploring.

What are the limitations of interventions?
While a friend or family member’s intentions are in the right place in wanting to help a loved one through an intervention, there are significant limitations to the approach. The surprising nature of the event can make the person feel ambushed or judged. They may feel embarrassed or ashamed as a result, and relationships may be strained or broken. This can make it difficult for the individual to be receptive to the concerns of their loved ones and the interventionist.

Are there alternatives to interventions?
Rather than confronting a loved one through an intervention, an effective and less pressured approach is to create space for a caring, open, one-on-one conversation. This works best if the loved one asks open-ended questions, listens attentively to the answers, and frames their observations and statements with concern rather than judgment. More than one conversation may be needed, but change can take root over time.
