I believe that the best therapy is radically empathetic, that all people hold the innate capacity for healing, and that courage and strength are discovered when people are allowed the space to express and release emotional pain. I use relational, evidence based approaches and work collaboratively with my clients to target the issues most challenging to them. The approaches I use vary and are dependent on the needs of the individual, family, or couple that I'm working with, modalities include DBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, psychodynamic and attachment theory.
I hold an MA in Counseling Psychology and am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I practice EMDR (emdria-trained) and hold certification in treating trauma. I work with all ages and am trained as a generalist; special areas of interest and expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, attachment, and transitional issues.
