I believe that individuals seeking support and healing from mental health disorders and other struggles benefit from a place where they can be fully heard and provided with space and safety to tell their stories. I enjoy working collaboratively with individuals to determine how they will sustain positive change and maintain growth-fostering connections in their communities long after our work together is complete. I also feel that therapy should provide plenty of room for creativity, humor and fluidity in meeting a person where they are at.

For those in the midst of transition, loss or difficulty, getting real help can seem like a dicey proposition. People may find themselves depressed, anxious, numb or lost, but feel too ashamed to let others know the extent of their growing unhappiness. Many try to manage this in secret, at times wearing a mask & not wanting to be a "burden" to those they love. They may feel so overwhelmed, sad or anxious that they don't know where to begin or how to move forward.

I have a few immediate openings for new clients. I believe that across our life we develop many strengths, relational patterns, and skills that help us manage and navigate difficult situations and relationships. However, while these skills or patterns may have been helpful in the past, they may not be effective when we are confronted with new, unexpected challenges. I hold that therapy is a safe space where we can explore our past experiences, make sense of who we are and the ways we relate, understand our struggles, and find new solutions that lead to healing and clarity.

Ever increasing levels of stress and anxiety are commonplace in modern life. We have become so accustomed to living in this chronic state of hyper arousal that we now consider it to be a "normal" baseline of daily functioning. Unfortunately, for many this state of increased anxiety can begin to feel debilitating, demoralizing, and inescapable. It's hard to describe the feelings of hopelessness and isolation that those who suffer from severe anxiety face. It can wreak havoc on our most important relationships, limit our ability to grow, to be authentic, playful and creative, flexible, empathic and patient with ourselves and others.

No one knows you better than you. Yet, sometimes the noise of the world can interfere with our ability to maintain relationships, problem solve, execute plans, and confidently lead the lives we desire, even if we’ve been able to do so before. My goal for every therapeutic relationship is to be a source of calm where the noise quiets and a space is created to sit with and talk through your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and knowledge. Through this client-centered approach, I want you to find a life you are proud of and can live freely in.
