Hi there, I’m Hannah! Starting therapy can be the first brave step towards wholehearted & sustainable healing. Healing doesn’t mean changing everything about who you are, but gently & curiously removing what stands between you & the life you want to live. My goal is to help you cultivate radical self-compassion, genuine authenticity & curiosity. Together, we will create a safe, hopeful space where you can let go of the pressure to be 'perfect' & embrace the profound power of living softer. We'll move beyond old patterns that no longer serve you, clearing the path towards a life that includes your most whole self.

Many of us are taught that if we’re strong enough, we should be able to handle life’s challenges on our own. Yet experiences like grief, loss, and major life transitions often carry deep emotions that are rarely given permission to be seen, heard, or expressed. These emotions can feel heavy, isolating, or overwhelming—especially when we fear burdening others. I provide a calm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore what you’re carrying and express your emotions openly and authentically. Together, we will navigate the difficult conversations and painful moments that are often avoided but necessary for healing and growth.

In my work as a therapist, I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to build practical tools for managing what feels difficult. I also incorporate Narrative Therapy, which allows us to look closely at the stories that have shaped your identity and consider which ones still serve you, and which ones you may be ready to rewrite. I approach the therapeutic process as a partnership; your experiences and insights guide our work, and I’m here to offer support, perspective, and skills along the way.

I am an EMDR Certified Clinician, trained Psychological First Aid Responder, have specialized and advanced training in reproductive mental health and pregnancy loss and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and completed an online certificate program through Rush University Medical Center on foundational competencies in older adult mental health.
My experience working with a diverse population of families, couples and individuals of all ages has led me to adopt and practice with a relational, client-centered and strengths-based approach. This follows my observations that individuals have internalized resources, wisdom and capacity for resilience that are often unrecognized or repressed. Strengthening those parts of the self provide the most enduring and transformative healing experiences. I also believe a critical component of my work with clients is helping them understand the brain/body connection, and how to utilize this understanding to manage symptoms and responses.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.
When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.
How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
