I am currently accepting new clients, for both in-person and telehealth sessions. People often hold their pain inside, perhaps fearing they will burden others or not get the support they need. I can help by providing a space in which you can express yourself freely. In my experience, opening up emotionally to access the core of pain is where lasting, transformative change takes place. Thus, I am committed to providing an environment in which you feel free to express your feelings, no matter how difficult, in order to lead a fuller, richer life.

A client who comes to me with honesty, is willing to work towards their goals is an ideal client. Anxiety, trauma, depression and family problems are problems that I treat with skill and sensitivity. Parents who need help parenting, children who suffer from a trauma, teens who are depressed and stressed out, couples who can't figure out why they are fighting so much when they really love each other, wives who struggle with low self esteem , people of any age who are very lonely, all need someone to help them sort out their challenges. "We are all just trying to do life!" That often that means asking for help.

You are strong and courageous to not only acknowledge that change is needed but to take the steps to achieve it. Change is hard, especially when you are uncertain of who to trust to walk with you through the process. I believe that everyone has the ability to make changes if only they are provided with a nurturing and empowering environment that fosters strengths, passions and builds hope for the future. You deserve to be heard, understood and acknowledged while expecting a therapist who is honest, genuine, comfortable sharing observations and insights and challenges exploration and growth. Humor is also imperative.

It takes courage to trust another person with your story and face yourself honestly. Maybe you are feeling unsatisfied in your relationships. Perhaps you are feeling flooded with past traumas. Or maybe you have difficulty setting boundaries or controlling your worry. Therapy can be a way to connect with our true selves so that we can show up authentically in the world and in relationships.

By this point in your profile surfing, I'm guessing they're all starting to sound the same. I hope you find me a little different as a therapist. In fact, I've been told I'm not very "therapist-y." Sure, I've taken some classes, read some books, and gotten some degrees, but all of that only makes me an expert in what works for me. You are the boss of you. You are the expert in your life. My role, as I see it, is to help you explore options and potential solutions and find what works for you. That's the only way change will last.

Helping clients on the path of self-exploration and personal growth takes time and understanding. Building a therapeutic alliance shapes the course for therapy and reveals a client's ultimate goals. I use various clinical approaches during therapy, depending on the needs and goals of each client on their journey toward wellness. I enjoy combining a client-centered approach with solution-focused strategies when partnering with clients. This foundation provides direction for therapeutic goals and allows creative collaboration between us to achieve them.

Self Esteem Therapists
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
