Anxiety, discouragement, and sadness are becoming commonplace, with a fear of the unknown. Individual therapy for adults and adolescents, couple, and family therapy are available.

Whether working through feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, and depression or examining ways to increase your overall satisfaction in your life, family and relationships.
Hi, I’m Lindsey Weber. The first step into therapy can feel uncomfortable and uncertain. My goal is to create a supportive, affirming, and collaborative environment where you are free to explore thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that are no longer serving you. I value the individual experience and work to create an equitable and inclusive experience that values and recognizes diversity and the individual.

A client who comes to me with honesty, is willing to work towards their goals is an ideal client. Anxiety, trauma, depression and family problems are problems that I treat with skill and sensitivity. Parents who need help parenting, children who suffer from a trauma, teens who are depressed and stressed out, couples who can't figure out why they are fighting so much when they really love each other, wives who struggle with low self esteem, people of any age who are very lonely, all need someone to help them sort out their challenges. "We are all just trying to do life!" That often that means asking for help.

Family relationships can be amazing.
Accepting New Clients- Life. It can be wonderful and it can be frustrating, discouraging, sometimes devastating. When things aren't going well, we need help. Maybe it is the stress of work or family . It could be deep discouragement about... life. Maybe there's a loss. Marriage limping along, kids seem distant. Sometimes life feels hopeless. I love helping people when life is difficult. I have hope and can usually see the light at the end of the tunnel. I've seen dark days in my life. We'll work together, build a plan and carry it out to find a solution to a better life. There is a way out. Sometimes you just need a guide.

As a clinician, I utilize a psychodynamic approach that is informed through developmental and strengths-based lenses, as well as incorporating a family systems orientation.
For whatever brings you to therapy, I will foster a safe and open space that provides support and validation while being a non-judgmental witness to your personal story. Working collaboratively with you, we will create and work towards therapeutic goals through the exploration of past and current experiences and how they have built beliefs, making connections from past and present. As we explore these connections, we will work to identify how they create negative or unrealistic core beliefs, while instilling more helpful and positive ones that can lead to greater overall wellbeing and a more positive sense of self.

The condition of our relationships are crucial for overall peace and contentment in our lives. As someone trained in marriage and family therapy , I focus on the space between you and your loved ones. Sometimes there are past histories of resentment, nonproductive communication styles or cognitive filters that are us causing problems. Sometimes our way of being in the world or the structure of our systems keep us stuck in problematic cycles and patterns. In our work together, we can increase self-awareness and create pathways to relational healing.

Family Therapy

What do family therapists do?

A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?

Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?

You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?

Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
