I treat a lot of trauma in my practice, so I tend to use CPT, EMDR, Brainspotting, and ART often.
Do you feel like you have to fight your own brain to get through the day? So many people feel like they’re a fish out of water, or like they didn’t get the manual to life that everyone else seems to have memorized. This can be really frustrating, and a really isolating experience. Many times navigating the emotions that come with this experience can add a whole other layer to that struggle, and nobody deserves to struggle with that alone. Having the skills to navigate anxiety, stress, and trauma can help people feel reconnected to those around them and help them build the life they always wanted.

Do you fear no one will understand you? In situations longer than you should be? Struggling with the complexities of grief or major life transitions? I work with adolescents, teens, and adults to help heal their self-worth wounds before their potential harmful coping skills manifest into lifelong struggles, and help folks rewrite their story once they understand that the only person that needs to understand them is themselves.

I lead with integrity and with will work to explore paths and processes that bring about hope and change for those who are seeking it. If you're up to do the work, I'll come along side you.

I am trained in Anchored Relational Therapy (formerly AIR Network) and Brainspotting Phase 1.
I understand therapy is a lot of work. I’m eager to accompany clients in the work and be a supportive listener along the way. In working many years at an abortion clinic, I found myself drawn to deeper conversations and was able to see that pregnancy put every part of a person's life under a microscope. I enjoyed the advocacy role I had on behalf of individuals with pregnancy and major life decisions. People have told me over the years that I show up authentically. I make an effort to not shy away from difficult conversations. I try to be straight forward and transparent in my approach.

I have advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, and Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy (EFT).
Hi, I'm glad you're here. Finding a therapist that you're comfortable with is so important. I aim to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to explore why things feel hard.
I am open-minded, non-pathologizing, affirming, and tend to do more depth-focused work. Some therapists might be behavior focused, I am not. I am most interested in the thoughts and feelings underneath the behavior.
I tend to work primarily with people who have CPTSD or have experienced some form of trauma or abuse. I also work with a lot of neurodivergence, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, life transitions, hoarding, and issues around family dynamics.

Brainspotting Therapists
How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.
Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.
How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.
How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
