I was born and raised in Honduras and moved to New Orleans in 2008, where I completed my master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I enjoy working with individuals through the different life stages especially children, couples and families. I am passionate about social justice, diversity/multicultural issues, neuro-divergence, mindfulness and physical/mental wellness. As a “systemic thinker”, I believe it is important to focus on an individual’s family of origin and identifying family dynamics and patterns to help them solve their problems.

I have completed 40 hours of formal play therapy training. My bilingual skills and bicultural worldview allows me to serve Spanish-speaking families, especially those raising children in bicultural homes. My practice is a mix of Person-Centered, Play, Existential, Narrative, Family Systems and Solution Focused interventions.

My promise to clients is a safe therapeutic space founded on empathic support, authenticity and genuineness. As a clinician I am the person holding the mirror to reflect back self-awareness, promote growth and assist in finding answers from within. I believe each person is the sole expert in their own life and that ALL feelings are valid.
