Hello and welcome! My name is Miya Edwards, and I am a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) in California. I am based out of the Inland Empire and provide telehealth therapy within the entire state. I work with adults to address anxiety, self-esteem, identity issues, grief, and depression, using narrative therapy to help each person I work with to develop a preferred story for themselves. My approach varies depending on the person, as there is not a one-size-fits-all scenario. Therapy is tailored to you, however, it is done so from a holistic, person-centered, collaborative, and comprehensive approach.
My specialty focus is on the adult population, at any age. Each phase of life evokes different growth, and changes, which can result in anxiety, stress, career burnout, relationship issues, and identity struggles. My counseling training is unique in that I practice what is called “narrative” therapy.
When people talk about a problem, they often begin telling a story, and the problem is woven into the story. My role is to help guide you through developing a meaningful new story that you prefer to empower you in a holistic, integrative way.
