As a multiethnic, multicultural woman of color, child of an immigrant, and trauma-informed licensed clinical social worker with a background in gender studies, I approach my work with an intersectional lens. I consider the whole human being as well as the various systems they are part of and the effect these systems have on a person’s life. It is important to me that I am mindful of how my client perceives the world and how the world perceives them. My therapeutic approach is anti-racist, anti-oppressive, culturally affirming, queer-affirming, kink-affirming, and client-centered.
I am warm, playful, and nurturing. I will gently challenge my clients when it is appropriate and helpful to the process. As a trauma-informed yoga instructor, I am keenly aware of how emotions manifest somatically and offer gentle guided movement. In my practice, I adapt to the client’s unique needs and enjoy being creative with therapy.
