Hello! My name is Mitchell Stacy and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have worked with clients from childhood through late adulthood, and from a wide variety of backgrounds. My past work has also included extensive experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as their families and caregivers.
My goal as a counselor is to create a space that is characterized by collaboration, curiosity, and compassion. There are many reasons that people seek out counseling, and I always consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to be part of the process of discovery, healing, and growth in people’s lives.
I find it helpful to utilize a variety of counseling approaches including Person-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I also aim to keep my work with clients trauma-informed, and mindful of overall wellbeing and the social and systemic factors that can impact us.
While reaching out for counseling can be difficult for many reasons, it can also demonstrate a lot of strength and honesty to recognize that need and/or desire for help.
