Since graduating in 1977 with a Master's Degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, I have been providing therapy to children, adolescents, couples, families and individuals. I received two years post-graduate training in Structural Family Therapy at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic.
At its essence, psychotherapy is a conversation between client and therapist for the purpose of achieving the client's goals. For this endeavor to be fruitful, it needs to take place within a safe, secure and trusting environment.
