Hello! My name is Mitchell Daas. I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who is here to support and empower you towards your own life worth living goals. My approach is client-centered. I look at balancing acceptance and change in any momenta and working towards building the life you want. I believe in treating anyone with a compassionate, non-judgmental stance and encourage change when needed. I typically use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness and Trauma-Focused Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Gottman Method, Somatic Therapy and Prolonged Exposure.
I typically work with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD/ADD, stress, family conflict, LGBTA+, addictions, chronic pain illness, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Workplace issues.
My big push to becoming a therapist started when I was volunteering as an advocate at the University of Minnesota and working with some of therapists indirectly. My drive around being a therapist is being able to make a huge impact in someone's life and walking alongside each person's journey.
