I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and families. Parents have questions about what they, and their child, are going through. I am able to provide answers through psychoeducation and years of experience. Children with behavior issues in school or at home or adolescents with new behaviors and problems with grades or social issues. These are the families I get to help through very stressful times. Improving the quality and functioning of individuals and families through improved communication, learning parenting techniques, advocacy, and providing CBT to help with anxiety, depression, and/or behavior and educational problems.
Over 20 years experience providing assessment, diagnosis, supervision, and therapeutic intervention with children, adolescents, families, adults and behavioral health and educational systems. I have helped many families navigate through the school system and IDEA/504 regulations. Advocacy is an important part of helping children with special needs.
Certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychological First Aid (PFA), Post Traumatic Stress Management (PTSM), and trained to administer the Autistic Diagnostic Observation Schedule 2(ADOS-2), Training and knowledge with IDEA and 504 Federal regulations and experience with advocating with parents for their child.
