Are you feeling stuck, unhappy, fearful, lonely, angry, unsatisfied? You may know what's wrong and what you need, or maybe you just know you want to feel better. Perhaps you're struggling to stay on course to reach a particular goal, or trying to gain traction and confidence to be who you want to be. We all have our own story and temperament that shapes our reactions, decisions, confidence and ability to persevere. My approach involves offering a steady, inquisitive and skilled hand in sorting out problems and managing priorities given one's unique past, present and future.
Over many decades I have completed training in CBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic approaches, as well as addictions and trauma-informed care. I strive to offer a safe yet dynamic space to help access your inner resources and better develop effective skills.
I view therapy as a collaborative endeavor. While the role of the helper is to identify negative patterns, build and support strengths and capacities, and assist in working through troubled areas, I believe that seeking help is an act of courage, one to be treated with care and respect.
