The goal of treatment is to end treatment. If your problems were easy to solve, you would have already solved them. Simultaneously, I believe everything you need to be successful, you walked in with. My job is to light the path, you walk it. The goal is to remove the obstacles that impede you enjoying your life to the fullest. I am active in therapy and collaborative; empowering you to get you where you're trying to go. I don't accept insurance because I think we should decide when the work is done; not the insurance company.
I provide services in Clinical, Forensic and Sport Psychology. I am an expert in Anger Management in Sport and in issues related to Domestic & Sexual Violence; especially in athlete populations. I work with athletes from the youth sport thru pro levels of competition. I conduct forensic evaluations & provide reunification therapy.
Though I utilize a cognitive behavioral (CBT) approach to psychotherapy, after working for more than 20 years in prison, I have come to realize that a practical approach is most important; and as a result, I regularly pull from many different schools: including DBT & psychodynamic frameworks.
