“So what are you?” If you are mixed race you may have heard this question. Or “you don’t look X” “Do you even speak the language?” or maybe even “you’re not really X, you’re basically white. You’re such a (insert objectifying food name here)”. These messages tend to bring up all kinds of uncomfortable emotions. Cultural identity has always been a loaded topic. What if I told you that the isolation, pain, stress, sadness, anxiety you feel is not simply because you're too "sensitive"? That maybe, the reason you feel disconnected with others is because you feel disconnected with yourself?

My clients have felt deep feelings of loneliness and frustration that the feeling lingers on even in their relationships. Without words, they've felt the internal hum of continuously assessing their place in the world. I'm here to sit with you and help put the anxiety to rest. I believe in the healing power of shared spaces and the retelling of stories.
