My focus is on helping clients in the healing process. I address issues such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, marital discord, relationship conflict, trauma, grief, abuse, child conduct issues and a many other emotional, behavioral, social and family issues. I would be honored to work with anyone who is experiencing difficulty in life and help them learn and develop different ways to cope and resolve their emotional pain. One of the unique therapeutic interventions I use is Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT). AAT is designed to promote improvement in physical, social, emotional, and/or cognitive functioning.
Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) helps break down barriers in therapy by helping individuals feel at ease and accepted unconditionally. I have two therapy dogs available, each with their own unique personality, as AAT partners. Additionally, I also work with a Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) center in Neosho, MO.

Mending Meadows Equine Center
Mending Meadows Equine Center is a horse assisted therapeutic service which transcends traditional therapies. Many benefits come from this type of therapy. One particular benefit is that a client can focus on gaining their personal power by learning about a large animal and how to speak to the animal without using words. Mending Meadows Equine Center uses horses to build relationships with clients that can then lead to other types of therapeutic benefits. This type of therapy can be beneficial as it is not a one on one discussion in an office, but a natural conversation in an open space.
