Welcome, my name is Mirissa Jackson, Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical with Sondermind. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist with more than five years as mental health professional and four years as a clinical therapist. I am eager to engage minorities in the process of healing institutional, generational, and systematic trauma. In session with me, I allow my clients to take off the mask, the suit, the uniform and be their self. You will have an opportunity to explore change and address issues that are most important to you. Together we will develop a realistic plan for change that makes sense.

My experience stems from a variety of settings including substance use rehabilitation centers, residentials centers, prison settings and military base facilities. My intervention includes specific treatment modalities such as, but not limited to Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based, Brainspotting and Biofeedback.

My approach to therapy is simple; I am committed to the mental health, emotional well-being and general wellness of my clients. This understanding coupled with my formal training and life experience arms me with the unique ability to meet you where you are on your mental health journey and help navigate you toward your desired goals.
