About
Often in our interactions with others, we leave parts of ourselves at the metaphorical door to shield us from potential pain. As a therapist, I meet you with full acceptance, and I welcome you to bring all of yourself (yes, the messy parts, too!) into our relationship. I am invested in getting to know you deeply, and I am committed to working hard alongside of you. It is completely normal and natural to feel uncertain about change. In my experience, very few come to therapy ready and willing to transform themselves. Why? Because it's hard! We instinctively hold onto the way things are for a reason, and that's okay.
I will not push you out the door with a quick fix, and I certainly will not rush you to get to a goal before you feel ready. I recognize that sometimes you may need to talk about an issue repeatedly before you can let it go. I will give you the time and space to do that as often as you need without having to worry about being a burden or a broken record.
I will be with you every step of the way as we explore your concerns, examine barriers, deepen your awareness, and figure out how you can live your life fully and authentically. I will encourage you, support you, and, most importantly, empower you to make beneficial changes in your life. So, come as you are, and together we'll figure out where we need to go.
