About
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 10 years experience in treating depression, anxiety, substance abuse, as well as relationship and family issues. I believe that when self-awareness is paired with motivation for healthy action, individuals and families can realize their fullest potential. My approach focuses on achieving this insight and motivation through establishing trust, building positive self esteem, and teaching healthy skills for coping. I have a holistic perspective and treatment approach, and believe that all elements of health and wellness need to be addressed in order to experience balance and a fulfilling life.
My interventions consider all behavioral and environmental factors, history of trauma, stages of development, family of origin, and cultural components. I utilize talk therapy, and skill building like meditation, relationship skills and cognitive reframing. I work with all age groups and specialize in counseling for Adolescents and Young Adults.
I am qualified to provide LMHC Supervision. I am a Certified A-CRA Supervisor and Clinician, Certified GAIN Assessment trainer and administrator. My specialties are adolescence, addictions counseling (A-CRA, CBT, DBT, and motivational modalities). I conduct substance abuse psychoeducation trainings, and am a Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT 200).
