Welcome! Reaching out for help is the first, and often hardest, step to a happier, healthier life. Regardless of what brings you to counseling, finding a therapist that is a good match is essential to the process. I feel I work best with ages 13 to adult who are wanting to address concerns related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem/ identity, and those in the LGBTQ+ community. Each session is a place to address both successes and struggles, get feedback, and learn new skills to put into action. You control the direction of therapy and using skills between sessions to improve your own outcome.
Therapy can take many forms. I tend to use a person centered and strengths-based approach with clients and rely on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques and principles. I want to work as a partner with you by allowing you a place to process your concerns without judgement. Let's harness your strengths to address those concerns together.
