I am now also offering neurofeedback , a way to train your brain for optimal performance.
Life shouldn't be this hard. You try your best to do it all, but sometimes it doesn't feel like enough, like you're simply surviving, but not thriving. Stress, daily worries, sadness, and trouble getting along with family are just some of the things keeping you from your best self. Sound familiar? Maybe it's you who feels this way; maybe it's your child or another loved one. Whoever it is, you are ready to take the next step-starting therapy to help you get back on track.

When I return to the office after it is safe to do so, I offer neurofeedback , which is an innovative approach to help your brain maintain ideal regulation.
Available appointment times: 9:30am-3:00pm. Getting started is often the hardest part of any process, and that can certainly be the case in therapy. I hope to ease any uncertainties you may have about the therapy process, and show you that I understand and can help. I work hard to make therapy a positive, fulfilling experience and will move at the pace you are comfortable with. My purpose is to listen to you, understand what you are going through, and help you navigate the path toward emotional wellness.

We are a perfect fit if you want more than better coping. I offer a pain-free route to personal & relationship wellness. I offer advances in psychology & neuroscience (brain). => You have innate mental wellbeing. It can be easily accessed by understanding how mind-consciousness-thought works, and how you have been innocently interfering with its wise & capable functioning. => You have a brain (a) with profound untapped potential & (b) keeping you stuck in unhealthy patterns. If you are open-minded and want true release, a fresh empowered start -- and even higher consciousness, you'll want to add this to our talk therapy.

Many of our coping skills or “go-to” behaviors develop very early in life. Once we find a skill that works, we tend to use it again and again and end up applying the same coping mechanism to a myriad of different contexts. (When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.) And just like we use worn-out behaviors long after they stop being effective, so also do our thoughts march down well-worn neural pathways. Our capacity for openness and flexibility becomes increasingly limited.

My work at NeuroCALM explores why people struggle to focus and function effectively. Children and adolescents in a school setting or adults in the workplace benefit from a deep investigation of how their brains work. There's wisdom in your story and experiences. I specialize in the process of Collaborative Neurocognitive Therapeutic Assessment (CNTA), identifying problems with attention, learning, and memory. The ability to pay attention is essential to learning and working. If you are easily distracted, have trouble focusing, experience poor memory, or struggle to learn new things, you may benefit from CNTA.

Teletherapy
Teletherapy and Online counseling have grown enormously as a medium for therapy since the advent of social distancing. Most therapists are happy to provide sessions by video or phone.

All professionals are licensed to provide video therapy to clients within the State in which they hold their license. Cross State licensing exists, but is rare.

So if you're a client in Minnesota, this list of teletherapists are licensed to provide therapy to you online (by phone, video or text based chat) because they are within your state. They are sorted nearest to furthest, with professionals in Minnesota listed first.

Teletherapy via phone or video can be very similar to conventional in person sessions. The message is the same, even if the medium is different. There are some advantages in the form of convenience, lack of travel and being in comfort of your own home. Set against those, professionals find it more difficult to read non-verbal signals of their clients, and you may find you yourself can be more easily distracted.
