I have experience working with individuals with anxiety, panic attacks/disorders, depression, PTSD, and ADHD. I have a wide range of experiences in working with children, adolescents, and adults across settings, including schools, healthcare clinics, community-based services, and legal clinics.
Do you feel like you are in a pattern that appears to be repeating? Are you afraid to try things in a different manner? I seek to help people find ways to look more closely at their patterns. I would be able to help you regulate your emotions, learn how to communicate with others by standing up for yourself, and tolerate stressful situations without making them worse.
You are wondering who you are not in a relationship and how jarringly painful it is to just be YOU. You can’t stand being in your own thoughts or your own skin and find yourself picking apart what you look like, conversations you have that make you feel embarrassed, painful ways you haven’t said “no” or walked away and ultimately, deep down, being angry at YOU for struggling with this in the first place. After working together, you will be able to have an unbreakable trust with your inner voice and a calm and centered relationship with YOU.
Looking into therapy is something that takes courage. It is you taking that first step into wanting to be seen, heard, and supported in your journey. You might feel an eagerness to be known and seen by someone, or a deep reluctance in being seen, but a knowing that this is what you need at this moment. I am here to create that safe space, where everything will be held in safety and understanding. I will be here to listen, encourage, and see you in what you bring to sessions. I am someone who will help you in trusting yourself, that instinct and gut you have that has brought you this far.
I enjoy helping people and meeting people where they are at in the mental health journey. I specialize in areas of anxiety, depression career & money, past trauma and Autism spectrum disorder. Whatever you need, my intention is that you reach your goals as quickly as possible. I am a Licensed Clinical Counselor, MS/BA in Clinical Psychology and trained in serving the youngest of children.
Therapy is unique and diverse, as is each individual. Depending on the issue and type of therapy, help can come in the form of support, guidance, information, self-knowledge and/or a space to learn and practice new skills. The center of my practice is focused on building empowerment, balance, self-esteem, and self-awareness. I offer a warm and empathic environment for those facing difficult life transitions, relational challenges, past and present traumas, underlying issues of illness and stress, and any other issues preventing individuals from realizing the freedom and happiness of their true nature.
Given the current state of the world it is quite normal to be more anxious, discouraged, depressed and hopeless these days. Having someone to listen and support you can make a big difference in dealing with everyday life. Even when nothing external seems to change, I have found that feeling seen and heard is very valuable. My hope is to help you get relief from your pain and explore ways to cope with life’s ongoing challenges. We will discuss new life skills and attempt to find ways to appreciate and enjoy your life.
