I focus on learning who a person is uniquely, and I take an active role in treatment, offering genuine warmth and support, as well as practical feedback. I draw from various theoretical approaches to provide the most appropriate treatment for each individual's specific goals. I commonly incorporate mindfulness and self-compassion. As a licensed clinical social worker I have had the pleasure of working in cities across the United States with a wide range of individuals from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. In response to COVID-19, I also offer a telehealth option.

I am passionate about working with clients with non-traditional relationship structures or sexual interests (i.e. BDSM/kink, fetish, polyamorous, etc). I also enjoy helping clients discover where their sexual passions lie so they can have a more fulfilling sex life. I enjoy working with any sexual concern you may have including: Mismatched desire with your partner, low desire, sexual pain, sexual trauma, sexual dysfunctions, infidelity, etc. I welcome clients from all walks of life including those struggling with problematic sexual behavior ("sex addiction"), and/or sexual offenses, and sex workers.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). I work with individuals and teens in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence and substance abuse. I had no idea what to expect the first time I went to therapy. I was 19 years old and had suffered alone for some time before developing the courage to reach out for professional help. What surprised me the most from that first therapy hour was how validated I felt by my counselor and how much confidence I left with that I would be able to change in the ways I wanted. This therapy experience greatly impacted my personal life (as well as my professional life as you can clearly tell).

I work best with people that have felt "missed", misjudged, or marginalized and have internalized an unhealthy pattern of self-criticism. I cannot think of anything I would rather do than be working with individuals, couples, and families toward greater contentment and joy in their relationships and daily lives. Tending to those in a change process is the most meaningful and rich experience I have ever known. We will work from a partnership/collaborative, strength-based perspective to explore what is and is not working in your life, expand your understanding of what is driving these experiences, and experiment with options for change. Our work will be grounded in a holistic perspective considering the implications to our physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Meeting with a therapist for the first time can seem intimidating or uncomfortable, but my goal is to make sure you feel at home in our first session. My treatment approach starts first and foremost with the goal of building a relationship with both the child and their parents. I enjoy creating a relaxed, comfortable, and light-hearted atmosphere while often incorporating humor into my practice. I also encourage feedback every step of the way to ensure you are feeling your goals are being addressed.

I strive to meet my clients where they are in life and assist them in accomplishing their own goals. I enjoy exploring their inner strength and beauty and guiding them in what their next steps are to be their best self. I emphasize on self-validation and compassion in the healing process. I am trained as a DBT-PE and Level 1 and 2 EMDR EMDRIA therapist. I work with individuals with a variety of trauma history. I welcome all ethnicities, cultures and beliefs.

I understand that during our life journey, we can experience mental, emotional, and relational pain. Sometimes we know what is causing it but don’t necessarily know what to do about it. At other times we don’t actually know what is causing the pain and where it’s coming from, but we know we feel it. This is where therapy can be very helpful.
