I am inspired and humbled by the stories of people's lives - and I'm here to help when life gets challenging. If you're in the midst of a life transition or are feeling directionless - we can explore purpose. If life seems too hectic or feels increasingly hopeless - we'll work together to identify the underlying issue and explore solutions. If it feels like you and your teenager are stuck or if the relationship between your spouse/partner is a source of stress - we can work on communication. When you’re feeling overwhelmed and aren't sure how things can change, I can help.
I work with people who want to show up in the world and be embraced for ALL of who they are. Most of us have things that we keep hidden from others around us - locked away because we are worried that we are broken, weird, fearful of how we will be judged. The problem is, even when we are great at hiding - these things slowly but surely permeate our lives from the inside out. Everyone around you thinks you've got it all together, but on the inside - you know something is off, and you're ready to figure it out and do something different. You're ready to be honest and curious and open and make a change - to find YOUR courageous truth.

Welcome and peace to you as you begin this healing journey. I imagine this may be a trying time as you may be feeling happy some moments while devastated at others. Do not push yourself to resolve whatever hurt you may be carrying at this moment and instead be gentle with yourself and trust in your own extraordinary power to heal. Know that you are not alone as we all struggle with something and we are all working through it. You have taken the first big step and for that I commend you.
I believe that every person has an emotional, mental, physical and spiritual life that needs to be supported and nurtured. The path to healing and self-acceptance occurs through a collaborative approach focused on enhancing personal strengths and insight to empower individuals to manage challenges and stressors. My therapeutic approach is influenced by a trauma-informed foundation utilizing the principles of contextual and cognitive-behavioral techniques, as well as skills-based therapies to improve personal effectiveness and empowerment.
I believe we all have the inner power and intuitive knowledge to change, but our intuition can get blocked when strong emotions or past events overwhelm us. Working to establish a partnership of genuineness, trust, and respect for this self-knowledge, I teach tools to calm anxieties, break through fears, renew hope, and increase self-understanding. Mindfulness, relaxation, and visual art techniques, as well as play therapy with children, are often part of this process.
You're feeling hopeless/helpless, overwhelmed, fearful, lost and looking for a safe compassionate space to explore these emotions to better understand yourself. The past 2 years have been challenging in many ways and transitioning to a new normal can feel unsettling. Difficult life transitions can lead to you feeling numb, depressed and highly anxious. You are not alone in your emotions, I provide a safe, culturally sensitive, compassionate space utilizing therapeutic techniques that are specific to your struggles to help you create lasting change.
