Therapy with me is a safe space where individuals can consider their current lives, assess their circumstances, and understand their past in order to live more fully. Therapy can help you better understand yourself, navigate life's daily stressors, and help you cope with major life changes and loss. I see a wide range of clients working respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, sexual-identity and -orientation backgrounds.I am trained in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, helping couples to stop negative negative emotional cycles, and communicate better together.
I help patients manage depression, anxiety, relationships, and career transitions and have extensive experience with young adults and students struggling with balance, procrastination, stress, and attention/concentration issues. I specialize in working with those who have histories of childhood trauma, relationships, family addiction, and disordered eating.
In addition to my private practice, I am an Adjunct Professor at NYU (since 2010) and have published on topics of trauma, ethnic identity, racial identity and acculturation. I am
