After more than 40 years in practice, I have found that most clients need a combination of support, insight, and challenging interactions to help them grow and move past whatever obstacles they are facing. I work with individuals and couples on the most intimate aspects of their lives, including their sexuality, relationships, and life and death issues. My style is interactive, and employs uncovering family of origin dynamics, but also more practical, cognitive and behavioral methods to help make changes more quickly.
My specialty is in all aspects of loss, as reflected in relationship and family conflicts, sexual concerns and difficulties, and the emotional impact of medical illness, infertility, and bereavement. I am working entirely remotely at this time. I am licensed in New York.
I am a Clinical Psychologist and Sex Therapist. I completed post-doctoral training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in psycho-oncology, and in Human Sexuality at Cornell Medical Center. I worked at the Fertility Center at NYU for 22 years and as a supervisor in NYU's sexuality program.
