Do you feel stuck or unfulfilled? Do you want to make changes but don't know where to start? I'd love to walk beside you and help you find your way. I am a licensed professional counselor with 16 years of experience. The majority of my work has been with college students, but I really enjoy meeting with adults of all ages. I often work with clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, family issues and life transitions. For those who are interested, I enjoy helping clients make changes to their sleep, stress management and self-care habits as these changes can vastly improve mental health and well-being.
I use an Integrative approach to therapy and utilize a variety of approaches including Adlerian, CBT, DBT and Solution Focused. I believe that it can be important to look at family of origin issues in order to gain insight into present day concerns. I also focus on mind-body connections and the ways that our bodies "speak" to us.
Change is a process that takes time and I enjoy celebrating the small victories with my clients along the way. I see therapy as a collaborative process, and the client is always the expert on their own life and experiences. It can be difficult to start counseling and I will do all that I can to offer you a warm, safe space to explore your concerns.
