Thank you for stopping by to read my profile! I am a licensed (doctoral-level) psychologist who utilizes an integrative, wellness-based approach to working with clients. I am trained in a variety of cognitive-behavioral, existential/spiritual, and family/systems therapies. I conduct evaluations to assess for ADHD and anxiety in children/teens. In addition to my credentials in psychology, I completed a two-year course in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, as well as several hundred hours of training in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction; both of which I integrate into psychotherapy, as needed, to address nervous system regulation.
I view therapy as a collaborative process, intended to enhance personal understanding, empower problem-solving, and promote values-driven behavioral change. I love my work with children, adolescents (a passion!), and adults. My mantra is, "In 3-to-6 months, this 'problem' is likely to look different".
I meet clients where they are at, with regard to their motivation and readiness for change. Often, children (and teens) are not excited to come to therapy. However, with more active modalities, this frequently changes within a session or two; children/teens experience therapy as a place to be heard, problem-solve in new ways, discover humor, and have FUN!
