My name is Erin Meyer, LCPC and I was inspired to go into therapy because I wanted to completely revolutionize the world of
mental health. I wanted to help people in a real and tangible way. I felt constant anxiety as a child and teenager. I felt like no one had my back, and I just didn’t want other people to have the feeling of despair I did growing up. Looking back, I think feeling alone with my own emotions was what made me so empathic and understanding of others.
I was the person everybody came to. It was very easy for me to see the greatness within other people. I started Mindful Healing Works because I want mental health to be mainstream.
