Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, isolation, family/peer conflict, impaired functioning at school/work, difficulties coping, difficulties managing anger/stress, or struggle to use healthy coping skills, I can help you work through these challenges. I also enjoy working with couples to increase their understanding of self, their partner, and the patterns of interactions to help facilitate change that will enhance their relationship.
Ms. Suzanne Hamil earned her Masters degree in Social Work at Wayne State University with a focus in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Family Systems. Through the years, Ms. Hamil has obtained training in multiple therapeutic areas, such as: DBT, solution-focused therapy, Progressive Counting, EMDR, and Intensive Sex Therapy.
Ms. Hamil has experience working with children, adolescents and adults, couples, and families. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, best suited to meet the patients need. Ms. Hamil also earned a Graduate Certificate in Family & Couples Counseling and Therapy and has experience in custody/access issues and child protection.
